This sale is for a 1999 VW EuroVan. Take advantage on the least expensive Eurovan offered for sale. This is a nice project or use for parts. Check engine light on. ABS light on. There is a toggle switch for the fan blower on the heat and A/C Tires are at 30% or less. The main issue is the transmission pulls but feels like it is starting out in second from a stop. It pulls fine and goes into reverse and brakes stop the van as normal. I have not had it diagnosed. Could be an inexpensive fix whether an electronic sensor or? I do not know. I do know with VW quality though out still has plenty of life left to give should you decide to fix it. Very classy and doesn't show it's age like other vehicles. It is not the typical soccer mom mini van nor do values reflect it. If you know and understand these vehicles and can do the work yourself or have a friend that can you are in luck. You would have a nice vehicle. Be advised. Due to the transmission issue it is not driveable. Doing so could cause further damage. It will start and run on it's own and drive up on a truck. Engine is good. Oil is clean. Power windows and power sunroof works. Radio does not work. Van is in good shape for its age. It does have some scrapes and scratches and paint issues. Only outer body rust is pictured under the drivers door and I applied some POR15 to seal it from further damage. Look at the pics and ask questions if needed. Cheap Buy it now or make an offer. I can work with your shipper or recommend a reliable broker. *Update* I talked to a former dealership mechanic while at work in casual conversation. Without seeing the van and his opinion only is that the symptoms appear to him as an electronic issue. When not getting the proper electronic signal the transmission it is designed to go into a default mode. When in default it is customary to start in second or drive mode reverse is also operational in default. He stated possible issues COULD be a corroded pin connection, bad transmission computer module, sensor etc. Again this is only an opinion and the information is only provided to help make an informed decision.
