The body and interior are in great shape, especially considering the car’s age. The AC blows cold and has been upgraded to R-134a using genuine Volvo parts. The headlights are European halogens. All four tires were replaced just before going into storage. This car has been garaged for the past six years waiting for me to have the time to replace the clutch and a rear suspension bushing. The clutch starts to slip after a hundred miles on the road, and the suspension clunks whenever it encounters a bump. Since it went into storage, the turn signals flicker in both directions, and although it starts immediately, it is running rough. There is some rust at the bottom corners of the windshield. (See picture of passenger side: Driver side not as bad) The dashboard is cracked above the steering wheel. (see picture) I am resigned to the fact that I may never have the time to get this car back into shape, and now it is time to turn the car over to someone who does. From my perspective, the ideal buyer would be someone who knows and loves Volvos, and who has some mechanical skills. This car will not be going to the scrap yard for many thousands more miles. Please note that AutoCheck erroneously reports two odometer issues that are patently wrong. Issue one: This car was given to us by my father-in-law (the original owner) and has never been in an auction.Issue two: The last odometer reading was incorrectly reported to be 86,000 miles by the Indiana emissions testing facility. I have reported these problems to AutoCheck who deals with problems in the order received. Hopefully, by the time you read this the report will be corrected.
