If you're in the market for a slice of early Fifties domestic luxury, you need not look any further than GM's Cadillac division; in the eyes of many, it's still an unsurpassed standard of excellence. For sale is an excellent example of one of the more rare cadillac produced in the 50s. These do not come up,for sale often so bid accordinly. Do your research as I have and found that according to Hagertys description of the vehicle value and description I would rate it somewhere between a 3 and 4 car which is somewhere between a good and fair car. It has the qualities of a 3 car with newer interior, drives and runs well and has all of the correct parts, upon inspection the average passerby will not find or see to many flaws. The chrome has some pitting and flaws, the paint work is not perfect with some minor dents and paint chips, wheel are original. Overal, condition is better than most I have seen at this price range. EngineV8 331 190hp four barrel engine is numbers matching and all original. Has not been rebuilt as far as soon I can tell and does start right up but does smoke a bit and does have blow by coming out of the draft tube. New waterpump, exhaust gaskets, rebuilt carb, rebuilt radiator, new radiator hoses, new heater hoses and reconditioned gas tank. Transmission Original hydromaric shifts great in all gears goes great down the road does seem to have a slight fluid leak but dosent affect the operation. BodyTwo door coupe approximately 10065 where made and if you look around there's not to many for sale. Body has older restoration. Paint has its flaws overall it's in fair condition but does have a good shine to it. There's minor chips here and there and two small dents on the top of each fender. Recently buffed it and it looks really good. The good part about this vehicle is that it's straight has never been in an accident, has absolutely no rust or rust repair which for the age of the car is extremely rare and even more rare for a two door hardtop. Stainless is all there, however there are three pieces I'd replace as they are dented and not perfect. The rest of the stainless is in great shape. The bumpers are straight but do have so,e pitting and fading of chrome. InteriorExcellent condition was redone in recent years is really nice and clean. Is a dark gray and blue. Dash is excellent gas Guage is inoperable sending unit is working, speedo is inoperable as well. BrakeRedone this last fall.
