Available for your consideration is a clean 2006 Mercury Mountaineer Premier all black leather, fully loaded with Sunroof. V8 Automatic...This vehicle i have owned for sometime now and the body is exceptional all under the doors are super clean, rockers have no rust.. Little surface starting on liftgate at plate pocket and across hood front edge there was a bug deflector on the vehicle which was removed. This vehicle is in amazing condition inside and out. It does have a drivability issue. Starts with ease and runs and idles fine. You can here a power steering noise otherwise perfect sounding. When you drive it sometimes it will slam thru gears or get a long shift. I felt it was a transmission issue. I had taken it to Atlas Transmission they checked it out and no transmission issues. They said there was many drivabilty engine codes. I have driven it this way for a long time sometime when you take off it will run and drive perfect the next time it takes off rough. Once your going and driving you would never know there is an issue it runs and drives excellent at any speed, it is the start and stop issue only. The funny thing is if you pull any kind of trailer it does not matter how small and light it will run and drive perfect from start to finish no jerking or hesitation at all. I am not sure what the issue is but if someone could correct this they would have a wonderful vehicle. The Mountaineer does have a rebuilt salvage title and I am not sure looks as though a bumper was painted at one time and you can see a used airbag was put in it the airbag light is on but otherwise I can not tell why it has this title it must of been in a fender bender at one time and it does not take much to total a vehicle today. I just spent $250.00 and found a very nice set of tires for the vehicle, I had them installed. If you have any mechanical ability or know of someone this would be a great vehicle. The inside is amazing, very sharp black leather that is in great condition. Non smokers vehicle. No odors at all inside. Equipped with all the options including power sunroof. Just a very nice vehicle overall. You would not have to be afraid to drive the vehicle anywhere I would fully trust it completely across country on a trip it is just starting out that can be rough at times. Not intolerable just aggravating. Hard to explain such a comfortable good running vehicle that has issues but not serious issues. This is an AWD vehicle and really is enjoyable and safe to drive.
