1982 Honda XR500, single carb model 5 speed trans. Starts easy and runs great. Carb has been completely cleaned out, valves adjusted. Bike was obtained from an estate sale, previous ownership removed the enduro lights and they do not come with the bike. Wiring harness is still on the bike. Steel tank had pinholes on the floor by the petcock, which have been sealed using an epoxy. No leaks, tank is otherwise very clean inside. Supertrapp exhaust with spark arrestor. Tires in good shape, and comes with a new not-mounted front tire. Also comes with a new gasket kit, and new Honda brake shoes. Has current CA off-road sticker good for 2 years, and title is clear. $200 deposit due within 48 hours of auction end. Bike is located in Northern California. You can pick the bike up, or ship the bike using a service such as "U-Ship." There are many options online, which I have personally used and are easy to set up. However winning bidder is responsible for arranging all shipping.On Jun-07-17 at 07:28:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Had someone give me a heads-up on the bike- By VIN # this is NOT an XR model but an XL model, an XL500S. Meaning, this was a street-legal XL model model, not a dirt only model. This means the bike could be made streetable with a lighting kit and application at the DMV for a license plate! This can be verified on Honda's Powersports recall website by typing in the VIN#.
