I am the third owner of this wonderful motorcycle. Jon Saltzman bought it new and rode it to Central America, making a video series along the way. He named it "Waterbuffalo" due to its "never quit" attitude along the difficult roads he encountered. Owner number 2 rode it to Alaska and back before I discovered it for sale in 1994 and just had to have it. It was my daily rider for 10 years and has not been ridden much since. The bike has 111039 miles on it now. The battery needs replaced and possibly the clutch. I noticed some occasional clutch slippage the last few times I rode it. However, it seemed the more miles I covered, the less slipping I felt. The bike needs a new owner, and the minor tinkering that he or she will provide. It is a bit of history with a lot of life left in it. I will include the standard saddle bags, although the latches are not in good shape, and I believe the bags might have a crack or two. As I dig through my shop, I will also include anything else I come across for the bike. I would like a $400 PayPal deposit at time of sale and cash at time of pickup. Local pickup only.
