Vehicle Detail
Very nice original 1973 SL125 Honda with 1608 miles and it runs. Wow you can't find 'em like this anymore. Gas tank and fenders are very nice - no dents or scratches. Tank has been coated inside and appears to have two, small spots of the coating on the outside on the gray stripe. Front fender has a few paint cracks around the rivets, but still nice. Rear fender is very nice. Nitto tires appear original. Gauges, mirrors, chrome, muffler, wheels, taillight, headlight, and seat are all very nice. All original body/frame stickers appear to be there. The toolkit is there, but is missing the original screwdriver and pliers. Battery is good and all lights work, hi/low beam, tail-light/brake light, indicator lights and gauge lights. More cool stuff. I have the original bill of sale. Original certificate of origin for title. Original owners manual. A letter from Honda saying thank you for purchasing a new Honda. Note: bike sold for $599 in '73. This is a true collectable. Terms of sale will be cash in person. I am willing to help in anyway with shipping, but you will have to arrange shipping. I will hold bike until I get cash.On May-31-17 at 17:12:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: I have received several inquiries about how the bike runs and shifts and how it starts etc. I took it for a 1.5 mile ride yesterday. It ran ok and shifted thru all 5 gears. It is cold blooded as Hondas go, and I am sure it would benefit from a carb cleaning and tune up. In my opinion this bike is way too nice to become a daily driver. It belongs in somebody’s collection somewhere. I just like looking at it. I had plans of putting it and my other SL125 in our store front window along with a young couple around a campfire and a sign that reads “You meet the nicest people on a Honda.” Remember that? Yeah? Then you’re probably about ready to retire too! Anyway we sold our business and now I am cleaning out the garage and planning for retirement. Guess I should have mentioned that I have 2 of these and they are almost identical. I also rode bike #2 yesterday and it runs and shifts well too. If you are the winning bidder, I will give you the option of buying the second one…..want a sneak peek??? See new photo.Note you are only bidding on one bike. It is the one in the background.I am not ready to start fielding questions about my other stuff, so please only ask questions pertaining to the ONE bike that is for sale here. If you are the winning bidder, then we’ll talk.
