I am offering up my 1969 VW Deluxe transporter , It is a 7 Passenger . It is a late 68 Production so it shares some of the 68 one year only features ,such as dash and rear view mirror. This bus was Originally sold in Seattle ,Washington where it spent its whole life with one family until it was passed down to a family member who I purchased from . It went under a meticulous preservation style restoration . Any rust that was professionally removed and new metal was welded in . Much attention to detail was taken to preserve this buses Original Paint and patina. The mechanics have been completely gone through , the list includes a fresh Rebuilt 1641cc engine ,built by a very well know builder . No expense was spared on this build and engine runs so smooth and nice . Transmission was also gone through as well as shifting linkage ,and cv joints . All braking system is new , new 205/75/14 Hankook tires . The interior is very complete , with all of its original door paneling , headliner ,and hard to find middle and rear seat kick panels . I can talk this bus up all day . It drives like I would think a brand new 1969 bus would have driven back in the day . The bus does come with the roof rack . There was countless hours spent to make this bus in this condition . I will possibly regret my decision to list it here for sale . But I can only fit so many in my garage . I have owned a lot of VW buses and this one by far drives fantastic to say the least . Whoever wins this auction will not be disappointed . If you can appreciate something with character and charm this bus is filled with it . There is still some bumps here and there . The scratch from the metal shopping cart back in 1974 .
