Vehicle Detail

1996 Honda Shadow ACE (American Classic Edition) It's really an American Classic Edition now! This motorcycle was built to resemble the bikes of the 30's, 40's and 50's. This is a no reserve auction. 6,400 miles. With special chrome lowering shocks, the buddy seat sits 27" off of the ground, for smaller riders. This bike is truly one of a kind. The 1,100 V-Twin motor is powered by two (one for each cylinder) vintage 44 millimeter Mikuni round slide carburetors. The carbs are fed fuel by a Mister Gasket electric fuel pump, the stock Shadow carbs are gravity fed. The 44 mm Mikuni carbs are superior to the original stock 36 mm Keihins in every way and was a HUGE performance upgrade! I had to re-jet the pilot jets seven times to get it to run as great as it does. You can hear that it is very well mannered for the huge carburetors. There is also another benefit to this carb kit, besides performance and looking cool. When I bought the bike in 2008, the stock Keihens needed work because the original owners let the bike sit for long periods, that's why it only has 6,400 miles on it. The stock carbs are mounted on top of the motor, under the gas tank, so you have to take off the tank and in order to do that, you have to take off the seat. And both carbs have to be removed at the same time, as a unit. What a pain. With this Mikuni kit, the carbs are right there, you don't have to take off anything, super easy to work on. The ram air filters have a super charging effect, you can hear them breathe as you turn the throttle. The original air filter box was located in the middle of the motorcycle, where the air is hot. These now breathe nice cool air, on the outside of the motorcycle, for power and efficiency. The new battery now resides where the air filter box was. There are no reproduction parts. The skirts, rail and seat are 70-year-old original equipment with a new seat cover. Aero exhaust pipe. Spotlights are original 1940's Appleton dummy spotlights with cap emblems. The headlight is from 1950. When I bought the bike the rims had some rust on them. The front one is not bad but the back one is pretty rusty but I have a good rim that will be included with the bike. Never got a chance to put it on. Please, see the pictures and video. This bike turns heads everywhere you go and will definitely leave the pack behind! As you can hear on the video, it runs very strong. https://youtu.be/1D8ePWlZxVg This is a no reserve auction. If you have any question, please call (407) 704-9023. I am offering this bike locally, too. I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. Thanks. Payment: bank transfer, cash in person or Google Wallet. (PayPal holds the money up to 21 days. I'm not going to ship the motorcycle without being paid first.)
