Offering my 1962 mostly original Impala. I bought this after being taken out of a 23 year garage storage. What's been done: New radial tires New stock exhaust(some stainless components) Brakes have been gone through New pads and wheel cylinders Rebuilt carburetor(have original) New fluids Engine bay and fire wall detailed New ball joints New shocks and rear coil springs New Power steering control valve New spark plugs/wires New MSD Distributor (have original) New hoses and belts New front interior door panels and kick panels (have original panels with correct door buttons) New floor pan (driver side front) (rest of floors very solid) New gas tank New carpet Body Car was undercoated routinely with an oil based spray including doors, frame,behind bumpers,fenders and engine bay.Every bolt I removed to detail engine compartment and front grill/headlight area came off with very little effort. Over all very good condition,no visible rust. There has been one repaint 35 years ago ( Have receipt) Chrome good driver condition Only pitting is on door handles and front and rear emblems and vent window chrome. Stainless is immaculate and has been polished Bottom of doors are solid Rear trunk has a couple small rust through spots. Has been patched for typical rust area inside wheel wells.(can be seen in pictures) Rocker are rock solid Roof needs rear window installed otherwise very good condition,no rips or tears. Top goes up and down as it should very nicely, system has ben bled. Paint Good driver quality,some blemishes,very good shine,not original color.Original color is Autumn Gold. Engine Original 327 rebuilt at 26050 on odometer as per invoice from dealer on 3/24/1980 Included new cam,timing chain,lifters, chrome rings,misc seals gaskets. Present odometer reading indicates there's probably about 40,000 miles on motor. Oil change sticker on door dated 5/88 shows mileage at 62312.So since it was put in storage for 25 years,that brings it up to 2011 which is when I bought it.At that time the mileage was 63488.Runs good,little hesitation,probably accelerator pump. Transmission Original 2-speed power glide with typical leak.Shifts as it should smooth and quietly. Interior Clean and fair condition Needs front seat bottom recovered. Carpet and kick plates are new Dash ,all gauges and lights work. Records Have records of previous work done by dealer,previous Ebay listing when I purchased the car,Old registrations, partial build sheet. and appraisal done on 8/13/90 with pictures miles recorded and condition at that time.
