This is a base 1981 firebird that has been cloned into a formula.It has new paint and decals.The paint looks good from 5 ft away but up close the clear has runs and bugs in it here and there.One of the bird decals on the back spoiler is coming off on the edges.The interior has the original seats,carpet and headliner.The bucket seat covers are getting thin on the bottom sides.The carpet is worn and the headliner has faded from age but still in place.It has a new package tray above the back seat.The dash has a dash cap over it and looks fine.All the gauges work except the tachometer.The a/c worked last summer but has a slow leak.IT has been convert over to modern freon (R13).It has new door glass window felt.The cars is solid with no rust holes.Even under the rear bumper is solid.It has a posi rear end with rear sway bar.It has the large Trans am front say bar.It has the 15X8 snow flake wheels.It has front disc brakes and drum rear.Tires are decent shape.The motor is a pontiac 400 with 6x heads and a 4 barrel quadrajet carb.It has a pontiac 400 turbo transmission.It has a new exhaust and new catalytic converter.The motor runs fine but has a small exhaust manifold leak.I have not messed with the leak.When I put the manifolds on I noticed that some of the bolt holes in the heads where larger than they should be.They all tightened up tight so may need a double gasket or just tightened more.The fan hits inside the fan shroud sometimes when not level.The turbo 400 transmission works as it should but the pump makes a noise when first started up and get less noticeable after being driven a while.I have tried to list all the thing I know.The car has been sitting almost all the time since I got it and will need some bugs worked out for sure.
