1972 nova SS. Hasnt ran for at least 25 years, is a real deal ss car 5th digit in vin (k) denotes ss car in 1972. It is a factory 4 speed car, bucket seats factory in dash tach, disk brake, console with optional guage package in console, 8.5 inch rearend (no 12 bolts in 72) multi leaf posi car. Not sure if the 350 is numbers matching engine or not but it looks like it been in there forever and has a quadrajet 4 barrel carb like it is supposed to. Transmission shifts throught all four gears and reverse. Car is 100% complete with the exception of one 350 fender emblem. I bought this car from a lady in Billings Montana that bought it in 1976 in michigan and title is from 1976 as well. I have a copy of the dealer invoice from 1976 where she bought it from, she wanted to keep the original for memory sake. Car needs a complete restoration, and will need some panel replacement as well, trunk floor has some rust, front edge of hood and bottom of front fenders and a little on doors. The underside has surface rust but i didnt see any rust through underneath other than trunk floor area. Not terrible can be patched but being a real ss car i would just replace it, new metal is cheap for novas. Floors and rockers look good,quarters look good other than the dent behind passender rear wheel as does under vinyl top and cowl, firewall area. Interior is all original and needs redone, dash area is nice and has a very rare in dash 8 track player i have seen go for 1000 plus on ebay alone. This is a unmolested car in every way, never hot rodded or modified from original, has been repainted at some point and drivers door has been replaced, not sure why. Car does not run as it sits but it does turn over i do not know condition of engine mechanically, clutch feels good, has no brakes pedal goes to floor, car is manual steering and power brake non ac car. This car can be a good investment for someone wanting a real ss nova 4 speed car with options, everything is here and will make a great restoration project for someone. I dont know alot more about the car other than what ive mentioned but please ask questions and i will try to get answers for you. Thanks and good luck.
