Vehicle Detail

This is a great work van for someone who needs an affordable, reliable workhorse and doesn't want it to get lost in the parking lot.I bought this van a few months ago from a construction company in Brooklyn to move cross-country to California. Two friends of mine did the artwork on the van, but we kept the address of the construction company visible to rep NYC. It made the 3,000 mile journey without even blinking. It was one of my favorite road trips. The gas mileage wasn't horrible, either, considering that I was going highway speeds with the back loaded from floor to ceiling. I averaged about 15 mpg, fully loaded. I put on a new set of tires for the trip, and as you can see in the photos, they're still looking new. They've got the 3,000 miles I put on them, plus another hundred or so from using the van around town. The battery is brand new, and I've put a good JVC bluetooth stereo in. Had to have that if I was going to be sitting in the van for a cross-country ride! What makes the van cheap: The body is rough, it shows the wear and tear of working for a construction company. There are some dents, and rust under the wheel wells. I've had it up on the lift, and it looks solid underneath. You're welcome to inspect it yourself. The interior's seen its fair share of use as well. The driver's seat was comfortable for a 3,000 mile drive, but only because I put an extra seat cushion on top. There's a small crack in the windshield, out of the driver's view, but it's there. The passenger mirror looks like a dog ate it. And of course, it's got the graffiti art that you'll either love or hate. For those who want to know, the art is by Sans of the 2DX crew, and Modus from the Lift crew in Brooklyn. If you're looking for a secure van, this is the one. It's got a locking steel cage between the passenger and cargo areas. All the door locks except the driver's door are permanently sealed to prevent jimmying, and the driver's lock has an anti-jimmy cover as well. The cargo doors on the back and side have heavy-duty puck locks that can't be cut, because the mechanism is inside the steel puck, which is itself surrounded by a steel frame. The rear windows are reinforced with steel mesh. I had to trust all my possessions to be locked up in the back of this van in hotel parking lots, and it was a great feeling to have that security all around it. You can come by to take a look at the van anytime, happy to have it inspected by your mechanic. Note that this van IS titled and registered in California, and has passed all the smog inspections. If you've ever titled an out-of-state car in California, you know what a pain in the rear that can be, so no need to worry about that, it's all taken care of already.
