Vehicle Detail
1969 Honda SL350 K0 Getting rid of my prize possession here! I bought this bike back in 1992. I bought the bike from the original owner. He bought the bike at a Compton Honda dealership. The bike was last ridden about 2000. It was running just fine when it was parked. At the time, I bought a Beemer and ended up riding that pretty much exclusively. I didn't service this correctly by draining the tank. I just ended up parking it. Also you would need tires for this. I think these are the original tires on this. When it was running, everything worked as it should. The gears and clutch was working fine and shifting was working great. The kick starter isn't working that well at the moment. You don't really get a full stroke, but about half a stroke. I remember mostly using the electric start when I was riding this. I really didn't put that many miles on it. Maybe 7-800 miles? I always wanted one of these when I was a kid and never used it all that much when I had it! This would clean up easily better than what it is. It's up to you on how you want to do it. From just doing a quick cleaning, I can see that the headlight ring will clean nice and the gas tank cap will too. The chrome housing for the rear light will take a little effort, but that looks like it will clean up nicely too. Really just about all the chrome on the bike would clean up with some effort. The gas tank has just one quarter size bow type indentation. The dent can kinda be seen on pic 8 and 9. The shadow kinda highlights this dent if you follow the arrow in pic # 9. The bike is great example of the SL350s. Even the mufflers are in pretty good shape. I and the owner before me had some repair done on them. I examined them and they look like they are solid. There is an extra muffler that is part of this, along with some other stuff, a starter motor, a clutch, brake pads, and other miscellaneous parts as seen. The tach is close, but not an exact match. I have the original 2 keys for this too. The buddy seat and rack came with the bike and they're aftermarket parts. The side covers are missing and are not included on this bike. Other than that, I'm pretty sure the bike is complete! UPDATE: This was put up a couple of times and didn't get claimed for various reasons. Since that time, I figured I'm just going to get this running myself. I was doing the non-running offer previously to give someone a pleasant surprise. That really didn't work! So I went and got a nice quality battery (6 month warranty) and put some gas in the tank. It took about two minutes to get the bike up and running. It was like it never missed a day! It runs solid and there's no smoke. Still needs to have the fuel system cleaned up in my opinion. Does need a tuneup. The video shows the bike completely cold and starting pretty easily. If you need to get some info over the phone or need to talk to me, feel free to get back to me. I will be back in town on the 20th. Call 562 203 9295 VIDEO -
