Vehicle Detail
Up for grabs I have a 1991 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo wearing it's original glacier white pearl glow paint with 27,590 miles on the clock. Purchased new in 1991 at Sunbelt Nissan in Augusta, GA where it remained for a number of years before selling to a gentlemen in Pennsylvania who owned this Z until August of 2014. It was at this time I purchased this vehicle with the plastic wrapper still on the passenger seat and 11,100 miles on the odometer. I have driven the car a little over 16,000 miles in almost two and a half years. My intention upon buying this car of course was to drive it every once in awhile, and as it turns out I drove it a little more than that. I loved driving the car and honestly had a very hard time staying out of it. I have always meticulously cared for and properly maintained the car at my local Nissan Dealer here in Columbia, SC. Under my ownership I have never driven it in the rain, and the car has always been garage kept. I would also like to note that on February 22nd of this year I ordered from Z1 motorsports an OEM Nissan 300ZX 120K timing kit. The timing belt replacement was completed on February 28th via an authorized Nissan dealership here in Columbia, SC. This car is completely and thoroughly sorted!! She has had the whole shootin match thrown at her and is perfect. She is ready to go! I see so many low mileage examples of these cars with no proof of the timing belt service completed. The mindset for most is that "well it hasn't yet reached 60,000 miles so the car should be fine". Although many of these cars have under 60,000 miles they are in fact in excess of 27 years old. Rubber dry rots and time always comes out the eventual winner. The absolute reason when looking at low mileage examples of the 300ZX the timing belt is never mentioned is merely because of price. An authorized Nissan Dealership all day long will demand $2,400.00 for this service to be completed. The Nissan 300ZX z32 VG series motors are INTERFERENCE motors. This means that if the timing belt snaps, or jumps a few teeth, the pistons hit the valves, the valves then bend or break and the heads are now damaged. Bottom line, your going to need a new motor! If you look at the photo that has the date, mileage, and mechanics name stamped onto the right side of the timing cover you will notice that stamp isn't present in my other photos. The photo with the approved stamp for timing belt replacement was taken only two weeks ago whereas the other photos were taken prior to the service. I will repeat this again simply because of it's importance. THE TIMING BELT SERVICE IS COMPLETE AND THE CAR IS SORTED. Looking at the car it becomes instantly clear that their are in fact aftermarket wheels as well as an aftermarket exhaust. The second owner of this vehicle replaced the wheels with what you see in these pictures and I will be honest with you by saying that I have absolutely no idea what brand name they are. There is no brand label affixed anywhere on these wheels. The aftermarket exhaust system installed on this car consists of two components, a Z1 motorsports 2.5 non-resonated h-pipe and an axle back. In trying to identify the manufacturer of the axle back I ran into the same problem I encountered when trying to determine the manufacturer of the wheels. The only branding or script on the axle back reads "Type R". Again I am being honest with you when I tell you I have no idea who type r is. I am a car guy through and through and I don't know what in the heck to tell you about the wheels and the axle back. The good news is that I have the ORIGINAL WHEELS with the ORIGINAL TIRES as well as the original EXHAUST COMPONENTS this car was born with. These OEM parts will go along with the purchase of this car. As you can see in the pictures provided the OEM wheels are in mint condition. The tires, although dry rotted still have the nipples attached to the sides of them. I have been told that the original wheels have around 3,000 miles on them. I want to note that these take off parts are not replacement parts but the original OEM equipment the car was born with. So look if you want to bring this car back to it's original glory all you have to do is get her up on a lift and with a few turns of wrench you are back in business and this car is bone stock once again. I can attest there have been no other aftermarket parts affixed to this car whatsoever other than what I have stated. No motor work, No ECU tuning No NOTHING! The motor is bone stock and retains it's original turbos and both intercoolers. Other than what I have listed the car is unmolested and a survivor. Would like to mention that the car retains all of it's original keys, books, owners manual etc. What I don't have is the window sticker or the original Bose radio. When I took delivery of the car, in place of the Bose head unit was a removable Kenwood CD unit. I asked in regards to the Bose unit and nobody had any answers. Somewhere along the way it has disappeared. The interior of this car is as close to new as you could possibly get. The leather interior is beautiful and the carpets look new. I have taken very good care of it and it shows both inside and out. If your in the market for a low mileage well kept and maintained 300ZX Twin Turbo with all of the right options, this is your car. I can tell you that similar cars in this condition with low mileage aren't going down in value, and in the coming years will only appreciate. Each year that passes there are fewer and fewer of these things out there that aren't modified to death or engine swapped. Other than the two things I have mentioned above this car is bone stock and clean. Also with 27,000 miles on the clock you don't have to worry about severe depreciation with each and every mile you log. The money is right on with this car, and with the timing belt service out of the way it is a very good buy. I also wanted to mention that the car has freshly changed oil, and a brand new set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 tires just recently installed. She's ready to roll! Buy with confidence as I am not here to hurt anybody. This car is exactly as I say it is! The buyer is responsible for shipping and I will require a $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit via PayPal unless otherwise negotiated at the close of the auction. I will assist the buyer however I can in order to assure this transaction goes as smoothly as possible. Upon receiving a bank certified check or cash I will then release the car to you, the new owner. I have a clean and clear title in hand so this transaction should be seamless. Also, I am a private seller with no connections to a bank that lets say a dealer would have. This particular car could still be new in the wrapper with 10 miles on the clock and more than likely your local bank will not write a loan simply because this car is 10 years of age or older. All I ask is that you have your ducks in a row, while at the same time have the ability to put a deal together before you hit the buy it now. With that being said I will be happy to assist you however I can. I also wanted to mention to you that I am located in Columbia, SC. My name is Kip and I look forward to hearing from you.
