Vehicle Detail

We have had this nice Discovery since Sept of 2007. The original owner in Aspen Colorado traded it in to the Glenwood Springs dealer for a new one. We bought it from the dealer. It had been used very little and had been garage kept. The car was in dry south western Colorado until the summer of 2008, when we drove it to western Oregon. Most of the miles are highway miles. The car has never been used off road to my knowledge. We are retired and have used the car for traveling and camping, with most of the miles on interstates in the west. You will see some Discovery's like this one that have been detailed out, resprayed clear coat paint, minor things fixed, etc, listed between $8700.00 and $19000 on eBay. A paint shop could put this car in this shape for maybe $1500. Probably a lot less. You could do the following to get it to this condition. The hood could use a repaint or new clear coat only because it is the original black and has seen sun since 2004. It looked the same as it does now in 2007 when I got the car. The passenger window gets stuck going down. The window riser is the problem most likely. Not an overly expensive repair. The rear sun roof has never opened since I have had the car. I never needed to open it, so I haven't fixed it. The Discovery will need brake rotors eventually. New pads were installed a while back, but not the rotors because they weren't needed at the time. The multi CD changer under the front passenger seat has never worked properly. They rarely do work. I would replace the battery with a new one soon because it is pretty old. It does start the car fine for now. Why am I selling this Discovery? Frankly, I love this car and if it doesn't sell, no problem. But the reality is, I have only driven it 300 miles in the last year and a half because I have two almost new cars in the garage and I don't need 3 cars. If you are looking for a cheap 4x4 to trash in the mud, this isn't it. This is the kind of vehicle you need to get through a snow storm or tow a travel trailer on vacation. It has lots of room for camping stuff, the family dog, etc. It will cruise at 75MPH or go straight up a slippery driveway through a foot of snow, or down that jeep road you always wanted to explore. It is one of the nicest SUVs in the world, mostly made of aluminum, it will last a lifetime if maintained well. If you've wanted one of those dealer detailed $13000 to $19000 Land Rovers but couldn't see paying that much, this is the Discovery you've been looking for. Detail it yourself and save thousands. It is a nice driving car. Other than the front passenger window not working right, it is very nice just as it is. On Feb-19-17 at 01:26:34 PST, seller added the following information: The auto check is misleading. It shows 3 owners. The explanation is that it was simply transferred from my partner's name to mine many years ago. It never left the family. There is no lean on the car also.
