Greetings, I have a small shop near Asheville, NC specializing in vintage Japanese motorcycles. I bought this bike last fall while visiting my mother in Maine. It's really too modern and too big for me and these tight mountain roads - so I have decided to pass it on. The engine is in excellent shape - starts easily and responds smoothly and cleanly to throttle and pulls like a very fast locomotive. This bike originally came with the Hondaline frame-mounted fairing. When I bought it, the fairing was long gone and the owner had fitted a round light and turn signals to the fairing nose mount. The fairing mount and the plastic box for all the connectors that fits inside the fairing come with the bike. The new owner can fit a standard V65 Sabre headlight or fit a fairing. All the electrics work. The inside of the gas tank is like new. The bike is ride-able as-is and can be taken around the country block on a test-hop. But it had been in storage for several years when I bought it and should have a full major service before being put into regular use. At minimum, the brakes should be drained/flushed/filled/bled and the calipers and master cyls cleaned/rebuilt. The rear brake is dragging a bit. The buyer may choose to have me do as much or little of the service as they want. In addition to the brakes, I recommend inspecting/adjusting valve clearances, rebuilding the front forks, drain/flush/refill the cooling system, oil and filter change, clean/lube control cables, tune and sync the carbs. The original Maine title comes with the bike - but Maine does not issue titles for vehicles more than 15 years old - so I have the bill of sale to me and you will have that plus a notarized bill of sale from me to you. That will get you a shiny new title in states that require titles for older vehicles. Alas, there are a lot of auction "winners" who turn out to be dead-beat losers.
