Vehicle Detail
This was my first dirt bike. I bought her new in 2014. Because of the amount of time that has passed since this model has received an update, It didn't take me long to start fiddling. Everything you can do to a 650l has been done. This is a list of enhancements I've made: Chassis: LED Light bar wired to the high beam switch Front tugger Applied billet triple clamp Crf 450r forks- completely rebuilt, re sprung and re valved for the heavy bike Crf 450 rear sprocket conversion: endless sprocket choices running 14-50 gearing currently. It's an animal. Rear spring changed to heaviest you can go: 12kg. Totally changed the dynamic of the bike. Feels like a real dirt bike now. Static sag set by the factory was way off. At 180 lbs, the race sag was set at just under 2". Now with the new spring, race sag is set bang on 4". Tusk chub bars Set up for scotts steering damper (NOT INCLUDED) Trail Tech Vapor Rear wheel set up tubless. MOD: I added zerk fittings everywhere. Two on the shock rocker, two on the dog bone, one on the brake pedal, one on the swing-arm and, my favorite: I machined a delrin sleeve to slip over the steering stem and take up most of the room in the head tube. Then added a zerk fitting, then pumped it full of grease. This dramatically extends the life of all the PITA to change bearings. Engine: Big Shorai 14 amp hour lithium battery WebCam 450/451 grind, Essentially Stage 2 for more mid and top end HP WebCam Rocker Hard-weld and grind Heavy duty valve springs and Titanium retainers Ported head to match intake gasket. Unbelievable how restrictive the head is stock. JE 11.25:1 Piston XR's Only Falicon forged Con Rod Cylinder head mount holes in cylinder and the cylinder mount holes in case halves are heli-coiled. You can now remove and install the head and cylinder as many times as you want and not worry about pulling threads. 2nd gear mod. Swapped out 2nd gear for a shorter ratio. Fixes the problem gap between 1st and 3rd. 5th gear mod. Swapped out 5th gear for the taller nx650 gear. Ratio changed from .84 to .8. Even with 14-50 gearing, she'll happily do 55 mph all day without over revving. Fcr 41 Pumper carb Xr400r oil cooler FMF Header and power-bomb exhaust This was used as a dirt bike. It has dents and dings and scratches and everything else associated with being a used dirt bike. If this is not ok with you, don't bid. Mechanically this is a very sound bike. I'm not someone that cares about looks, only reliability, which is why I picked the pig. The mileage is listed as 1 because I replaced the dash with a trail tech when I got the bike. I then replaced it again under warranty when that unit failed. My guess would be 7500 ish miles, but the motor was rebuilt last year. Speaking of which, there is an oil leak coming from the crush washer on the valve rocker bolt. See pic. It leaks so slowly that I can't bring myself to pull the valve cover off to replace it. That is the only thing that needs fixing. Please look at the pics carefully as I've tried to show most of the dings and scrapes and such. I will help a shipper load the bike. I also have spare parts: Brand new CDI, coil, coil plug, rear brake pedal, tubless inner tube. I'll get a box of goodies together and send it. Bike will load when payment clears. On Jan-29-17 at 17:10:54 PST, seller added the following information: This bike is registered for the street. It came street legal from the factory. As far as the title is concerned, it is clear and transferable. All you need to get a tag in your state is the tag fee. There seems to be some confusion about this.
