Up for bid is one 1983 Honda Urban Express Deluxe model NU50M 2-stroke moped/scooter with Electric Start and only 1197 original miles! It's in very nice condition and everything works as it should. The original Century Brown Metallic paint shines very well and to my understanding was only available on this particular year and model. All decals are in very good condition for its age as well. There is a scuff on the black plastic cover for the right mirror and there is a small bent spot on the left mounting arm to the rear fender. The original 49cc Honda 2-stroke engine runs quietly and has oil injection, a nice feature which allows you to fill oil into a reservoir under the seat and separately fill with gas in the tank behind the seat. It also has the HondaVmatic continuously variable belt drive transmission, which is also in good shape. The factory owners manual is even still under the seat. The Electric start works as it should, as does the kick start and all electrical and lighting works properly as well. The front & rear turn signals are in very good condition, as are the rear brake light and headlight with high and low beams. The horn works and all instrumentation and handlebar controls do too. This thing brought back a lot of great memories from when I was younger which is why I bought it and it became my labor of love. It may be the same for you, but if not, no worries. It's ready to ride and enjoy! Maintenance history:The Ignition switch was replaced with an OEM style aftermarket switch due to OEM not able to be found. Will come with all keys. (Tabs on old switch dried and broke)A few of the amber turn signal covers were replaced due to scratchesOne of the mirror assemblies were replaced with new OEM due to scuff on black plastic cover and mirror missing. Old will be includedThe left rear turn signal mount was replaced with a new OEM unit due to a small crackA brand new OEM muffler and exhaust gasket were installed due to something making a home inside the old one not allowing the engine to run properly. Also replaced were the muffler to heat shield fiber washers. Original muffler has since been hot baked, functions well and will be included as well. Both front forks were completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, rebuilt and properly lubed. Grease had dried out over the years and the forks were binding and not rebounding as the should. Original parts will be includedThe rear brake cable was replaced with new OEM cable due to dry out and binding. Rear brake pads were also replaced with OEM due to concerns of wear. Old shoes will be includedBattery for electric start was replaced with aftermarket OEM style battery due to original no longer maintaining a chargeThe Carburetor has been thoroughly cleaned and any dry or brittle lines were replaced as needed. The Bystart chamber and filter were replaced due to age, as were the air filter and air filter housing gasket for a tight sealThe factory spark plug was replaced with a new factory plug and gapped to spec. Original plug that came out will be includedI will also include a few new rare, hard to find and sometimes expensive factory parts that weren't needed, along with a few small parts that can be ridiculously expensive and hard to find Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or would like more pictures and so on.
