.1997&98 what are the best SL500 made from 91 to 95 I had a horrible hydraulic transmission ugly interior and more uglier Wheels.1996 way better transmission a better interior they still haven't improved the wheelsUNLESS you paid 8 to 10k upgrade for these beautiful AMG Chrome staggered wheels. You can look on eBay for months come across one with these wheels a lot came out silver coated.Just like most custom wheels they can make a car look great in this case definitely does.I came along 5 years ago December 24th Christmas Eve and purchase this vehicle Prescott Arizona from the original owners that bought it new.5 years ago this car list it around 15K they were asking 12 /5 I didn't have that much I was able to purchase it for 10/ 5 put brand new tires on it two and a half months ago that was $1,200 ZR rated wide tires very nice I wish I'd done it earlier.. unfortunately I have to sell this car I had back surgery about a month ago unexpectedly I am not getting better as fast as I'd like and going to miss work and Something's Gotta Go to help pay the bills.So with that said I'll try to explain everything about the car the car is originally gloss black it's been wrapped with 3m white pearl white and also black matte the lower part of the car is carbon fiber wrap inside the car is wrapped matte black matte White no wood trim!Make this clear the car runs fantastic the engine is strong the transmission shifts smooth and fast it's a blast to drive it so much fun to pass people. Come up on a slower car in a 75 mph stretch and doing about 60 you slap that thing down to 3rd step on it next thing you know you have pass the slower car in less than 3 sec. look down yoyr doing 95 just like that. I do not drive this car hard I pamper it actually. but when it's time to pass a vehicle up. it will get you by safely and fast. Mercedes did a great job with this car built very safe . I don't know but I would say this car can outperform 70% of the cars on the road today new or older that's just my opinion. The car has 6 disc CD changer it does come with the windscreen which is a must when the top is down makes the cabin totally quiet and still no wind blowing around te AC is unbelievably goes down to 52 degrees and then when winter time comes the heater is just as strong.Change the oil also in September Changed all fluids when I purchased it .Okay talk about fluids these are the two minor things that are wrong the power steering leaks at the bottom. The power steering power steering pump is fine doesn't make any noise you just have to add power steering fluid every once in awhile it only leaks when it sits. I drove to Texas it didnt leak at all basically the seal swells up when it gets hot and then it cools down it leaks. It's called maintenance. I was always meaning to take care of it. Also just three months after I bought it the top started to stagger going down Dan it stopped and I just manually lowered it down later I noticed some hydraulic fluid dripping on the passenger seat . I researched it and sure enough there's 2000 rings that go to the hydraulic pump system now one thing the original owners they were elderly couple and they said they hardly ever took the hard top off !? Makes sense buy a convertible and never lower top down but that's not the reason they bought the car .well it just never got used and that's what happens . So it's definitely not the motor pumps O ring very inexpensive $15 .I included a photo and there is around 20 o rings and there's only two of them that are really easy to get to and those are the first two above the driver and the passenger seat and that's where it started to leak by the passenger seat at that time simple as it would be to fix I have a garage and most the time the talk was always down parked in the garage and never took it out when it was raining and if I ever did let the top back up when I was outside it might have been windy real hot it looked it up like old school very easy but it's nice to have a top that goes up and down so that's something I would fix it real quick new owner. I just have too many things on my list and back surgery wasn't one of them but it happened..... last but least the passenger seat Mercedes you know has the electric seats with three different positions well it sometimes wants to get stuck with the front seat leaning forward once again it doesn't bother me my dog is only passenger most of the time. i t doesn't lean that forward kind of like a window that switches going out and it sometimes rolls down sometime doesnt. okay so if you interested I can take video of a walk around start the car driving the car go through the gears just like you were here when I bought this car I continued driving it to see family and had my car transported back to where I live it's real simple to transport cars very simple and affordable! You always want to get open carrier and you never want to take the lowest estimate or the highest the middle one is the best way to go if you take the lowest you wait for weeks to get the car depending on how far away you are.Last thing hi I'm pricing it by now unbelievably low the car is worth way more than that but I need to sell this car for that price go lower I accept higher price accept tips so there's nothing wrong with the car besides what I just told you it's a great deal so get ahold of me 9707592766my name is Larry don't call whatsoever if you're not ready to buy . Never know. this is a good deal if you're looking for a good Christmas gift for yourself or for your wife or girlfriend or for your son or your daughter this could be a great gift.
