’83 Honda GL650. This bike is a classic- Honda only made these one year- 1983. This is a water-cooled, shaft drive V-Twin, 650cc. It originally came as a GL650 Silverwing but the purchaser bought all Hondaline accessories to make it similar to the Silverwing Interstate model. The detachable side bags are larger than the Interstate model and will hold quite a bit. Many parts are still available. I consider it a project bike because the engine is making a knocking noise from the power section. I just replaced the stator and regulator/rectifier with new so had a look at the cam chain tensioner- it looked ok so the noise is likely something rod or crank related. Noise goes away at about 2000 rpm. The vinyl (seat and passenger back pad) needs replaced. I also have extra trim pieces from when previous owner removed them to install the Hondaline accessories. Other parts like highway pegs, crash bars, misc. Carb seals, etc. Also come with it.
