2002 Hyundai Santa Fe; 153K mi.; engine runs perfectly; transmission occasionally clunks/catches but Whitcraft shop (Reisterstown MD) could not find the problem; overall great condition, peppy, and all the accessories work. I bought this 4 yrs ago and it has run beautifully. You can drive it away fine. The transmission clunk is the only issue with this car. It has 'clunked' about 5 times in the last year or so. I’ve run it for 2 months right now without one incident. Like I said, a reputable transmission shop kept it for a week and drove it around a lot and couldn't find the issue. It's intermittent so I can't get it fixed except a rebuild or replacement and the it's too much $ for the value of the car. It is not safe to drive this car indefinitely. When it fails, the transmission clunks and the car stops in first gear.
