Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1987 Suzuki Samurai that I bought five years ago. After my brother decided to drive it without oil in the engine it has been given a new (rebuilt) engine and carburetor, installed by GT Auto Works in North Myrtle Beach. It runs and drives well, and since the engine replacement it has been garaged and driven less than 100 miles. The only mechanical issue is the a/c which doesn't blow cold. The interior is in good shape apart from a mark on the backseat (visible in the photos) and missing driver's side foot well carpet. The interior side panels have been replaced with diamond plating. The radio is partially functional but has an underlying droning sound when on, most likely due to a loose wire. The exterior is in similar shape. The paint is good except for the wheel flare (shown in the photos) which is cracking. Attachment points for the side mirrors have been added in front of the doors so the doors can be removed while keeping the mirrors, but the mirrors have been since moved back to their original positions. The top is missing a few snap anchor points along the side and a ~1 in worn spot on the bottom rear corner. On Jan-02-17 at 09:10:48 PST, seller added the following information: Notes added 1/2/2017 I add three more pictures: 1. The carburetor is a Weber and was added when we bought the new engine. The logic was that since the engine was a greater horsepower than the original, we need a new carburetor to achieve the added power. The old carburetor was too small. The car is much stronger than before replacement. 2. Someone asked about air conditioning. Yes, it was hooked back up onto the the new engine. I have never used it and it's too cold to see if it works properly. We never used the A/C with the old engine since we used it in convertible mode. Lets assume that who ever buys the car will need to get it checked-out and serviced. 3. There is a police report. My Son bumped into someone from behind in traffic. The car bounced off the other car's back bumper. There was no damage to either. I added a picture of the bumper. I detect that the left bumper could be pushed in a small amount. Look at the picture to judge. 4. On the vehicle history report there are odometer questions from prior to us owning it. We bought the car from a man in Nichols in 2012 and it had about 40k miles on the odometer. I really don't have an answer to this issue. It was in mint condition, in a garge, under a cover when we purchased the Suzuki. Happy New Year!! :-)
