This is a rare 1972 Ford Ranchero GT with a 400m,automatic transmission,9 inch rearend,dual exhaust,and disc brakes.A good driving project Ranchero GT (code 48S) that starts and stops easy. The engine runs great with no leaks or noises and the oil looks good. The 4bbl intake and carb are Edelbrock. The transmission shifts smooth and the truck has a good ride. The tires are 235/60/15 radial gt and are like-new. The disc brakes and suspension work well. The interior is pretty nice - color is black,clean,and everything works. Originally red,the body was stripped of a cheap red re-paint and has been in primer for decades.There is still factory paint in the door jams, etc... It is pretty solid and straight for its age but has areas that are rough and need worked - shallow dents and bad bodywork. The right quarter behind the wheel has bad driveway bodywork - a thick unworked glob of putty where it looks like they wanted to hide a dent caused by the exhaust tip and probably some rust there too? The damage is repairable. The body gaps are good and the doors open/close easy. The old truck is a good driving project.
