I ordered this vehicle from the factory in July of 1997 and took delivery in October. It was my daily driver until last year when I bought the '06 Rubicon Unlimited you can see in the background in one of the pictures. The body is rust free, except for a small patch on the top of each front fender as shown in one of the pictures. It has been very well maintained with all scheduled maintenance items done and it has never been in an accident. I have installed a 2" suspension lift, heavy duty rock rails, 32 X 11.50 tires, front sway bar disconnects, Bestop driver's seat, front bumper brush guard, steering box skid plate, soundwedge speakers, limited slip front differential, 19 gallon gas tank, tinted rear and side curtains in very good shape, wheel locks. Everything runs well and works great. If you are local to eastern North Carolina, you can drive it home. That's the good. The bad is that the reason I replaced it is that the frame has rusted badly - not an unusual problem with the early TJs. There are no side view mirrors as I sold them with the steel doors that I used through the winters to preserve the soft doors. And, as you can see in the pictures, it needs a paint job. So, welding in a couple frame patches, which are readily available, and giving it a coat of paint gets you a bargain TJ that you can enjoy as much as I have for the last 18 years.
