4 Sale 1990 Cadillac Allante Rare Factory Hardtop Option 68,600 miles! Quick Facts: Cadillac produced only 2,523 Allante in'90. Base price was $53,050 - All came loaded with options, but there was one major factory upgrade in 1990 = the optional aluminum hardtop which brought the price to $58,638 ($5,588 extra). The "Pearl" paint was the only other option of note ($700 option which this also has). 1990 was an important year as it introduced a driver side air bag, CD player (works perfectly and sounds great!) prior versions just had cassette-this has both), and Traction Control (ahead of it's time). Details:Body- About as flawless as you can get - original "Pearl" paint, NO dings/dents, or rust! Under-Body- The low miles on this car can be attributed to it being garaged during winter fall/months - super solid -NO issues!Interior- Extremely nice all around - no rips or cracks. Engine/Mechanics- Runs excellent (I am particular)- the transmission was not quite right so I just had that fixed (11/16) - have receipt.This is an extremely nice 27 year old factory original garage kept example of the rare Cadillac Allante. Have clean title in hand - NO accidents, or any negative issues. I am starting this car with a extremely low starting bid just to get things going (starting it below what the aluminum hard top cost when ordered new). NO reserve so high bidder takes it. Front-end: - notice you do NOT see the typical dings/dents/scratches under the grill you commonly see - yes, this is 100% all original paint (no touch up). Maroon soft top is in excellent condition. The paint is about as perfect as a 27 year old paint job could possibly be - speaks to the garage kept nature of this car - not baked out from the sun.Also, you start to see the perfect lines on this car. ABSOLUTELY NO dings or dents. Notice how perfect the back end is - as well as the lines on the driver's side The passenger side is just as perfect as the driver's side. The engine compartment - everything correct as it had left the factory - if you are fixing up one - you could use this as an example of how you want to get yours to look - if you're looking for the factory correct appearance. The trunk on the Allente is like no other - from the padded carpeted underside lid to the luxurious plush floor. A side angle view of the trunkIt's amazing how huge this trunk is for a convertible. Lifting up the carpet you find the spare tire - and in this case = NEVER used -brand new condition. Notice the cardboard circle cut out instructionsstill in pristine shape. Even the plastic zip tie that Cadillac put on the jack to hold it in place - untouched (see lower right - picture below). On the passenger side of the trunk there is a pull down that houses some of the electrical mechanics- my first time ever opening this area. I included this picture just to show you how immaculate the metal is on this Allante. The regular analog dash came standard, but if you're going to own one of these you have to get the digital dash - one of the coolestparts of the car (IMO). Note: The exact mileage is actually 68,653 an average of about 2500/year. . As mentioned earlier - the CD player was first introduced this year (1990). It's amazing how good this sounds - I just burned some Frank Sinatra to disc off my computer and the audio system was ahead of its time - decent highs and lows - with nice mids. The interior on the car is a perfect balance of sporty styling, luxury feeling, and modern age tech (for 1990). Note: They only offeredthree interior colors on the Allante in 1990 Charcoal grey/black (1,343 received), Beige (767), and Maroon (441) - I don't think I am being biased when I say that the Maroon was by far the best looking of the three - hard to believe it was the least produced? Also, Look how nice the factory Recaro 10 way power leather seats are = no rips, tears, cracks, stitching frays, etc. Yes, both seats work perfectly! Probably one of the most comfortable seats you will find on any car - my back loves the power lumbar adjustment. The original owners manual and leather case are included. The Cadillac alloy wheels do not have any of the typical curb rash you find on most 27 year rims. It takes a little time to clean all the little spaces, but it sure looks nice when your done. The Recaro Seats were amazing - After 1992 Allante switched to a more moderate seat to cut down on costs - this with the digital dash upgrade ($475 option), and the hard top ($5,500 option) are my favorite features on the Allante.3. This Allante - has EVERY option - 1.) The RARE hard top! 2.) The digital dash 3.) The 'pearl' paint - and has the high demand and rare "maroon" Recaro leather interior (pre- 1990 NO CD player, traction control, or driver air bag) - (1993 - had the Northstar, but took out the Recaro seats). Someone asked me about the "pearl paint" - it is signified as RPO code YL3 - this sticker which tells you the options the car came with is located by the spare tire in the trunk
