Once the vehicle is paid for they overnight the title to us and from that point we then mail it to you (UPS with tracking). We do it this way because we are approximately 10 minutes from the nearest port, and if somebody steals a vehicle and title and then takes both of them to the port they can get the truck out of the country, and it has been an ongoing problem for a while, although it has lightened up the last couple of years. We are Bonded in the State Of Florida so we have to provide you with a clean and clear title unless stated otherwise in the description of the vehicle. Most of the titles go out in 2 to 3 days after purchases, some take longer it really just depends. Most of the time we have copies of titles and can provide them to you or your bank. You will be responsible for any county or city surtaxes (usually .5%-1%), we just collect state taxes because Florida is reciprocal with 47 of the 50 States. ***TITLES***
Our titles are held by what is called a Floorplanning company, they hold the title for us until the vehicle is paid for. Once the vehicle is paid for they overnight the title to us and from that point we then mail it to you (UPS with tracking). We do it this way because we are approximately 10 minutes from the nearest port, and if somebody steals a vehicle and title and then takes both of them to the port they can get the truck out of the country, and it has been an ongoing problem for a while, although it has lightened up the last couple of years. We are Bonded in the State Of Florida so we have to provide you with a clean and clear title unless stated otherwise in the description of the vehicle. Most of the titles go out in 2 to 3 days after purchases, some take longer it really just depends. Most of the time we have copies of titles and can provide them to you or your bank. Fee and Tax Information: As far as taxes are concerned, we do collect your state sales tax. So for example, if you live in Alabama the tax rate is 2% so you will pay 2% taxes to us and we will give you a DMV tax credit form that you take with you to the DMV showing that you have already paid your state taxes of 2% (or whatever your state tax rate is). You will be responsible for any county or city surtaxes (usually .5%-1%), we just collect state taxes because Florida is reciprocal with 47 of the 50 States. Please call us to see if your state is recipriocal with Florida and also to see what your state sales tax rate is (some states have 0 sales tax rate, but you must have a Drivers License with that states address). We ONLY COLLECT TAXES if you are coming to pick up the vehicle, if you ship the vehicle we DO NOT collect your taxes.
As far as Fees, we have a $299 Documentary fee which we collect to help cover costs for Cleaning vehicles, Preparing vehicles for delivery, Inspection, and mailing fees for paperwork, titles etc. This fee is non negotiable, if you are a dealer and win the vehicle on Ebay you are also subject to this fee, if you are a dealer and want to purchase the vehicle minus the fee you must call us first. 30 Day Temporary tags are $5.95 and are good in any state and Canada. If you are registering the vehicle in Florida, we collect your taxes (state and county) and we also do your tag and title work so you do not have to go to the DMV to register the vehicle, we do your plate transfer and title transfer.
