Here is a Great little Nash Metropolitan convertible. The restoration was just completed a few weeks ago. The 24 photos speak for themselves, (except for the optical elusion the seat upholstery is showing) but here is a little more information. It starts easy, runs great and doesn't smoke. The clutch and transmission shift very smooth. The original AM radio still works. It has new carpet, new door panels and new panels around the rear seat area, new upholstery on all seats, new sun visors, new glove box insert with owner's manual. This Metro had some damage to the right door and rear quarter panel in I purchased it. All the repairs have been made and it looks like new again. But, that's why it has a "Reconstructed" title. This will not cause any problem with getting your license plate. The car didn't have the convertible top when I purchased it. I put a new convertible top boot, to give the car a finished look, but there is not a convertible top under the boot cover. I've keep the car completely covered (cover comes with car) in a storage building, and only drove it locally in good weather. I like driving convertibles, so it doesn't bother me not to have a top. With the Metropolitans, the convertible tops fold down in the back seat area, making the back seat unusable for passengers. Since it doesn't have the convertible top, I'm offering the car for sale with a reserve of only about half of what this car is really worth. Why am I selling it? I've decided to sell all 3 cars in my classic car collection. FYI: the other 2 are: a 1966 Corvair convertible & a 1968 Karmann Ghia coupe. both are listed on eBay. I'll offer free delivery within 50 miles of Cottonport, LA. Otherwise you will be responsible for transportation, but I'll do everything I can to help your transport driver.
