Vehicle Detail
This is truly a rare find. It was owned by only one individual since purchased new, I have every registration since 1971 until the vehicle was parked in a storage building in 1978. It was registered for 1979 and still has the inspection sticker for 1979 on the windshield. It has been sitting for so long that the hood latch cable has seized and I have not opened the hood. The engine is not seized. The engine turns when you roll it in gear. It is wearing its original paint but is a perfect candidate for restoration. There is very little rust through on the car. I took lots of pictures so you can see what you are getting. All your surprises will be pleasant ones. The frame is excellent and there are lots of good pictures for you to see. The floor has a couple of small spots but nothing serious. They are very solid. The spare well has some more serious rust issues. There was a lot of leaves and straw in it and a leaking anti freeze jug kept it wet in the lowest portion. There are good pictures of that also. The only thing missing is the fuel tank filler cap. Someone needed that and took it without any conversation. The windshield has a couple of chips from a BB gun. I have a windshield and will send it with the car.The jack and lug wrench are in the trunk. The pictures tell you all you need to know about this car as a project, It is a very solid car for a first class restoration. This is a LOW RESERVE auction and will be sold to the highest bidder. Please feel free to call me at 252 241 3601 with questions. On Nov-11-16 at 04:14:25 PST, seller added the following information: I got the hood open and the latch working. The engine looks all original and everything is there except the battery. There is still brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir and the clutch master cylinder reservoir. I feel sure everything will need to be freed up after sitting so long. It is a nice platform to a restoration.
