Vehicle Detail

A 1964 Corvair Convertible that has been in NC since 1983, its in very good condition and driven regularly with no problems. The interior has been completely redone with Clarks new med blue upholstery kit for all seats, and all door and quarter window panels plus a new med blue Dash pad. all weather stripping, top frame weather strips and window fuzzies have also been replaced . The front windshield was replaced about 7-8 years ago with a full tinted glass. The motor was replaced with a fresh overhauled 1965 "RH" 110 HP engine that was rebuilt by an experienced GM mechanic using new NOS or parts from Clarks Corvair which include a new C5084 nitrided crankshaft with 10/10 bearings; C8332 64 +20 forged pistons and moly rings; C8801 Cam with fail safe gear was also installed. Both heads were completely reworked with new valves and guides. a High volumn oil pump was installed and viton gaskets were used in all positions. New blower and idler bearings were installed as was a new Harmonic balancer. Well over $2,000 (documented) alone in new parts from Clarks to rebuild engine. The car has 73K miles of it showing on the speedometer but the new engine only has under 20K miles and runs good with good even compression on all 6 cylinders. a complete set of rocker trim panels and wheel well trim from Clarks was installed a couple years back and are still in excellent condition. Being 50+ years old the paint was starting to show signs of fading and bubbles here and there so The body got new NOS steel rocker panels on both sides installed and a professional repaint in base coat clear coat Silver Blue Metallic paint this past summer (2016), and it looks great. The white top is not new but it looks good and does not leak, and it comes with a med blue Boot Cover and a match set of correct 64 Monza hub Caps. The trunk is covered with Clarks 7 piece carpet kit, a little stained and faded but still serves its purpose. The car has a jack and lug wrench. This is the third listing: the first listing did not meet the reserve price; the second listing got a bid, and was sold but the buyer retracted his bid at last minute ; so this is the third listing, hopefully the third is a charm; and it goes to a new owner. This car looks good, drives good and performs good with many years left to enjoy on the road. On Nov-04-16 at 11:07:31 PDT, seller added the following information: 11.4.16 Reserve price lowered, buy now and drive home. 11.6.16 Almost there but the third time listing did not hit pay dirt, almost made it and if all the people that called me today had bid it would have made reserve. so will leave the numbers where they are and relist it again with starting bid where it left off today and hoping it makes the reserve this time which is only 5 bids away. On Nov-09-16 at 18:10:22 PST, seller added the following information: 11.9.16 Reserve has been lowered, bid to own.
