Vehicle Detail
1950 Dodge Power Wagon, Winch truck. Truck has no rust, I was told it was a former power company truck, original color appears to be yellow. I didn't have the heart to repaint it, I think the old girl looks great with her bumps and bruises but it wouldn't be a huge deal to disassemble and paint, all sheet metal is good, tailboard is tired but I liked the look. I looked two years to find a truck like this and had the vehicle shipped to Vermont from Washington state, ($2,000 shipping as it is heavy) it is a nice solid clean underneath truck, not a crusty nightmare. The truck is a beast. Starts right up, new battery, runs great, shifts as it should, hi-lo transfer works as it should, winch works as it should, I put all new brakes and master cylinder in, had gas tank cleaned out, carb rebuilt. Lights all work, pintle hook hitch. I replaced the headboard when I put the new oak bed in, it is solid as a rock ($2,000). I put on four new Firestone military tread tires, no miles on them, all new flaps and tubes ($2,000). Truck has all new door glass and gaskets, new rubber for windshield and rear window. Truck is weather tight and ready to drive. I love this truck, I have a ton of money in it, like 20K, I realize that is my problem but I liked it. I reluctantly am selling but with no where to keep it and with winter coming and it would be a shame to leave it out. Not sure of the miles, I will look. I have the title. You are welcome to come see it in central Vermont. With a ten grand paint job and interior, it would be a 40K truck.
