1983 Honda XR200R bike runs great. New head was installed less than 2 months ago and it has less than 5 hours on it.Also installed with the new head was the following, rocker assembly, new wisco piston, rings and wrist pin, all new gaskets. The timing change was also adjusted. Front and rear tires have more than half the tread left with no dry rot. Sprockets and chain are in great condition and don't need replaced. Bike shifts in and out of gear like it was brand new. All plastics are in good condition and secured properly. Front and rear brakes work good. Grips and levers are in good working order. Seat has a small tear across the back about 1" long. Kick starter works about 1/4 of the time. The kick starter gear needs replaced, the gear can be purchased on ebay for under $100.00 and takes about 1/2 hour to install. You don't need to split the case to replace the gear, you just need to take the side case off. I usually just coast into gear and start, again 1/4 of the time the kick starter will grab and the bike will start. The bike idles very good and the stop switch works well. Bike doesn't have a kick stand. Bike doesn't leak any fluids. This a bike you can take out in woods today and don't need to do a thing to. It is not a beauty queen and has scratches and nicks.
