Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my running and driving 1987 Scirocco 16v. I have driven this car daily for the last 3 years with the plan of restoring it but because of school and work I have not had time to do so. I have replaced many parts on this car with oem parts. This is the 16V Karmann factory model and is fully loaded. Power steering, power windows, power mirrors, and factory sunroof. The body is 95% rust free and I have never been in an accident. few dents and dings that have been there since i bought it. the whole body is pretty solid with the exception of a couple small rust spots. The car sits on 16" Borbet rims that are a little beat up and Falcon summer tires that are 3 years old. This beast is lowered on adjustable Raceland coilovers in front and lowers springs on the rear with new Bilstein struts. Has new wheels bearings all around and newer rotors and pads in the rear. Has a Flowmaster muffler and a new Walbro fuel pump. I am finally letting this toy go because i am moving overseas soon and cannot take it with me. the car is going to need a new steering rack which can be found for about a hundred bucks. The rack is starting to leak a good amount and since i cannot keep the car i do not want to install a new rack. the rear passenger shock tower has some rust but is an easy fix. i have installed a fan switch on the dash. the previous owner spray painted a part or the rear drivers quarter panel. the odometer has stopped working recently but i have not put many more miles on it. The car still runs and drives as it is but the steering fluid has to be filled up every couple of days. It idles a little high because the idle switch is not working correctly and I am currently trying to fix this.(needs to be given gas until warm on a cold start because of the faulty switch). After its warmed up it runs well. I have put over 2K in new oem parts and have lots of receipts.
