Vehicle Detail

2004.5 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 4x4 with LLY Duramax for sale. It's got 90,650 miles and 2,882.5 hours of run time as of 10/8 - this will go up a little as I still drive it. This truck is the work truck package with vinyl rubber floors, manual doors and windows, manual transfer case, and manual heat / A/C. If you're a truck person and want a truck that can do the job well without all the frills and cowboy Cadillac options that in the end just become things that break and cost you money then this is the truck for you. This truck is listed at a fair price and hasn't been to hell and back like most of what else you see. No frills, no BS either. I bought this truck in October 2014 and have set to putting everything right since then to to have a truck that could easily run several hundred thousand more miles. I think I've achieved that. Here's what's been done:All fluids and filters replaced: transmission, engine oil, coolant (plus both thermostats), both differentials, and the transfer case. The next service due is the oil changed again at 95,000. You drive this thing across the country before then if you wanted to. The factory fuel filter head was deleted and an Air Dog system installed at 83k. I put in 8 new glow plugs and a new glow plug controller. The hydroboost and its lines are new, and the rubber brake lines have been replaced with braided stainless steel lines. The truck stops well.New pitman arm, idler arm, and upper ball joints (all Moog) were installed, and the tie rods were replaced with Rare Parts units. There is a new Bilstein steering damper and KYB MonoMax shocks all around. It got 4 new Goodyear Wrangler (w/Kevlar) on/off road tires at 77k miles. The spare is also a brand new matching tire so next time you need tires you only need to buy 3.I've also fixed a lot of other minor things that needed putting right to get it to run perfect (fuel pressure regulator, 2 injectors, FPRV, new tailgate, and a bunch of small stuff). The following improvements were made: EGR was deleted along with heater grid, and a tow/haul/economy tune was put in place. I also added a 4" exhaust with muffler and S&B Intake elbow. I did not hot rod the truck, I only did a little bit to make it breathe right, run longer, and get better mileage. It is responsive and drives smooth.I also added an aftermarket stereo with bluetooth capability and better speakers. The inside isn't perfect (doors have scratches, cracks, etc) but it's clean and serviceable. I also have a canvas cover for the back seat that will go with the truck. The bed and rockers have been coated with Line-X and the frame rails shot with GM Undercoat. In short, everything works like it should. Now, for the bad: It's got numerous scratches and dents. You should see them all in the pictures. I tried to take some in the parking garage to show them better. In the old car world I'd call the car a 15 footer. The dash has had whatever the top coat on part of it ripped off, so you'll see there's two colors on the dash. I took the old wind deflectors off but haven't installed the new ones. The windshield washer fluid sensor went bad so you get a false message. I have the part. It may be fixed by the time you buy it, it may not. I've kept a detailed spreadsheet with every fuel stop and maintenance expense I've had along with a service tracker. Ask me if you want a copy. I took a loan to buy the truck and there's still some balance left. So after you pay me, I pay off the loan and it'll take a bit to get a clear title. I can't get to the phone reliably where I work so send me an email with any questions you have. I've disclosed everything I know. I wanted to own this thing forever but family health issue forces sale. Truck is for sale locally too, I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, and it is for sale as is where is no warranty expressed or implied.
