Vehicle Detail
This is a 1961 willys cj-5 with some history. Snow was predicted for JFK inaugural parade and 2 jeeps were commissioned to lead the parade and plow if necessary. This is one of the two willys outfitted with snow plows that led the parade in Philadelphia (plaque on dash). I'm told the paint color was chosen to match Air Forse One. After the parade the jeeps were donated to a Philadelphia school. When they had served their purpose a school employee purchased this jeep, and that's all I know about this jeep. The dash plaque reads: THIS jeep VEHICLE WAS AN OFFICAL UNIT IN THE INAUGURAL PARADE HONORING THE 35TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY JANUARY 20, 1961 # 616 213 9170 daveOn Oct-06-16 at 06:02:49 PDT, seller added the following information: runs great less then 100 miles on fresh motor. jeep is very solid. no rustout on frame. frame has no cracks.
