Vehicle Detail

Selling my 08 CRF450 that I have owned since 09. I am offering the complete bike for less than what the suspension alone is worth. This bike was built by WMXtreme, at the tune of $23,000.00!!! Yep you read that correctly, This was a no expense spared, unlimited funded built pro national quality built bike, using ALL of the best available, top of the line components made period. The bike currently has 132hrs on it since new (thats what is listed in the mileage on this listing). It has full RG3 kit suspension, that includes all DLC coatings, hard anodizing on both the forks and shock, ETC, along with a complete billet RG3 shock linkage dogbone pull arms & bellcrank, triple clamps, that also come with an unused spare set of RG3 1 1/8" bar mounts. The motor was originally completely built by Yoshimura, that included, ported head, 1 off cam, I think oversized valves, hi comp piston, coated tranny gears, full billet Hinson clutch and cover, Boyesen Super cooler, ICW oversized radiators, R&D reworked carb, including billet float bowl, and more. I had John at WMXtreme, completely rebuild the motor with around 90 hrs on it, including the head with new valves, which I then added a Ice Cube 498cc big bore kit, complete with a billet cylinder, and a special Hot Cams cam, meant for a big bore kit. Other parts added when the bike was new were carbon fiber skid plate, frame guards, and carb heat shield (currently not mounted but included) all made by LightSpeed. The bike has TCR/Excel A-60 wheels and hubs, but the rear hub got ruined due to a real bad bearing failure, so a Tusk Impact rear wheel is on the bike now, but the TCR/Excel wheel is included. Other goodies include, billet Hammerhead shifter and rear brake pedal, Titanium wide footpegs, ASV levers/perches, Twin Air billet intake and filter cage, billet gas cap, full Akropovic race exhaust with about 2 months of use (some dents in the head pipe), silicone hoses, and many many other parts I am sure I am missing. This bike is the best suspended bike I have ever ridden by far, and that includes any new bike. It is also the fastest 450 (well now its a 498) I have ridden by far to date. The motor was putting out right around 62-63 HP, which is more than any current bike. Anyone who raced Upstate MX during the 2010-2014 seasons knows what a rocket this bike was. It was a holeshot king. I am selling the bike for a lot less than what the suspension cost alone!!! The motor needs a rebuild. I crashed (lowsided around a turn) it towards the end of the 2014 season at Frozen Ocean, and unfortunately the bike was pinned wide open on the throttle side, which starved the piston for oil a bit. The bike still rans as strong as ever, but has piston oil blowby, and it will at least need a new piston, rings and cylinder hone. It will blow about half the engine oil out thru the rings and engine breather tube due to the blow by in a 5 lap moto, but it still has great compression, so the oil seal ring is what got shot. There are no weird or funny noises coming from the motor at all, and I actually raced the bike like this for the next 2 weekends during the end of the 2014 season (of course topping off the oil after every moto) until I picked up my new bike. The bike has not been started since 2014 and has sat inside a heated garage (where it has always been kept) in storage since then. DID ERT2 chain and Tag sprokets are in excellent+ condition, as are the Dunlop MX32 tires. This was/is a full fledged race bike, and was raced from 2010-2014 which shows typical use of that kind of activity, which I bought a then new 15 CRF450 towards the end of the 14 season, and this bike has sat unused since. I was going to rebuild the motor, but just never got around to it. It comes with the original owners manual, a bunch of spares, which includes filters, the stock cylinder, Yosh cam, rear wheel (needs a new hub) and other parts. It will be sold AS IS with a bill of sale. This bike would also make a great basis for a CR500AF build if you did not want to rebuild the motor, and the motor has a bunch of expensive parts in/on it that could help fund that type of build.
