NO RESERVE!!! Up for bid is my 1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 1LE with 34,700 original miles. The car has a 5.0L V8 with 230hp and 300lb/ft trq., a 5spd manual transmission. This car is 1 of 705 1LE models, it is a rare and collectible car and comes with documentation from GM of Canada. The 1LE was a performance option GM created, so it could be competitive in IMSA and SCCA road racing series against Fords fox body Mustangs. The 1LE package consisted of an aluminum drive shaft and fuel tank for weight savings. A swinging pickup fuel pump, so the car is never starved for fuel during hard turning. It added Corvette brakes with 12" front rotors and 11" rear, an engine oil cooler. Also came with hi-flow cats, Posi-Trac rear with 3.42 gears, upgraded Macpherson suspension. The car handled so good it was GM's best handling car for 92', even better than the Vette. The 1LE package deleted A/C, power windows, locks, and mirrors for further weight savings. Fog lamps were deleted, so as not to obstruct air flow from flowing directly into the front fascia. This package allowed the Camaro to regain its title in the pony wars of that era. This car is basically stock other than a few upgrades and here is the list of upgrades; SLP Tri-Y headers, a custom true dual 3" exhaust with X-pipe and dual SLP Loudmouth 2 mufflers, 4 point rollbar, BMR lower adjustable panhard bar and BMR modified upper panhard bar for 3" exhaust, a Pro 5.0 shifter for more positive and accurate shifts, battery cutoff switch for winter storage, and K&N air filters. The interior is perfect there are no rips, tears, holes or wear on the seats, the dash pad is not faded or cracked, it looks brand new. The exterior has no dents, scratches or oxidation, the paint is in great condition. This car is ready for the road for cruising and shows, it needs nothing but a driver. This is not some ordinary Camaro, it is a collectors car to invest in as value will only go up.
