Vehicle Detail
The vehicle listed, 1979 Ford Bronco, has a 400 c.i.d engine and 4 speed manual transmission. I purchased this vehicle as a project to work on in my spare time or simply for the sum of the parts for a larger project and it has been in covered storage since. The vehicle starts, runs and is functional but I would not deem it as road worthy and would require a trailer to transport. The pictures are clear as to the condition of the vehicle which is what you would expect for a Bronco that is over 30 years old and spent it's life at northern latitudes. I have listed the vehicle with no reserve due to a loss of employment. Although I now have more "free" time to spend on projects like this I have a serious lack of disposable income to invest on a hobby project and need to move on. This is a "relisted" item. Why? Because the last eBay high bidder failed to call, write, respond or pay which then led me to weeks of having to deal with eBay to recover the listing fee. Also, for all the questions that were asked by bidders none of my responses posted to the listing when answering from a mobile device. Consequently, I answered the same question a half dozen times to no fault of anyone bidding on the item. The following is a short summary of some of the faq. 1) Why do I say the vehicle is not road worthy? It is a 30+ year old vehicle with worn mechanical components, i.e. steering, suspension, etc. and will need to be trailered or towed for transport which is how I obtained the vehicle through uShip.2) Why is the vehicle on blocks and are the tires bad? Everything I store (car, truck, trailer) for any period of time I put up on blocks and install tire covers to protect the tires from UV damage and flat spots. As to the condition of the tires they are inflated and holding pressure but in very poor condition which again goes to my statement that I would not deem the vehicle road worthy.3) Does the vehicle have a clear title? Yes. After I purchased the vehicle I transferred the title to my name through the IL DMV.4) I live some distance from you would you be willing to work with a shipper? Yes, absolutely. This is how I originally got the vehicle through the use of uShip. The only thing that I ask is that the transaction happen in a timely manner. **Once again I am relisting this for the last time. Why? Because yet again someone found time to bid on an item but never contact, pickup or pay for the item. Is this some kind of new game or hobby that people are entertaining themselves with? Rhetorical. I don't get it. When I have bid on anything and won I have promptly contacted the seller, paid and made arrangements to have the item shipped or picked up. This Bronco is a project, it's NOT a numbers matching show room condition drive it in the parade type of vehicle. I have tried to be as accurate as I can with the description and pictures and need to get it sold because I am loosing my job and will need to sell my house as well. Some simple advice which would also seem to be obvious: if you have no intention of paying for or picking up the vehicle then PLEASE STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE AUCTION. Thank you.
