Vehicle Detail
1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ Inline 6 4.0L 5 Speed Manual Transmission 4X4. I've been the owner since 2004, before that it had an additional 2 owners. I bought it with 82000 miles, changed the oil every 3000, and I have a file of service records. The engine runs strong, four wheel drive works, and the air conditioner blows cold. The spark plugs were recently replaced, and the oil has been changed. Interior is clean (non-smoker). It was in a low speed fender bender with a vehicle with a tire on the tailgate in 2013, causing a crumpled hood, broken fiberglass bezel, cracked plastic grill, and the radiator was pushed into the cooling fan. All parts where replaced with Jeep donor parts. Included is a spare rear window (non-defrost). Currently it has a rear defrost window that was never fully converted. Temporary spare tire and other miscellaneous parts included as well. It hasn’t been inspected since 2014, due to frame rust, but has been ran and moved around to keep things lubricated and free. The brakes need replaced as do the tires (tires are not correct size right now but stock sized tires were always used when it was still road worthy). Please keep in mind that this Jeep hasn't been on the road or driven daily since July of 2014. If you want/need it to pass PA state inspection, to my knowledge it would need; Brakes, Tires, Rust Holes fixed, and a new muffler (it's not that old but apparently walker "stainless" is complete junk and the hanger after the muffler rusted off and so did about a foot of tail pipe). Other general maintenance recommended; fluids in differentials, transfer case, and gear box. The distributor cap contacts and rotor have some corrosion which I did clean and applied dielectric when plugs where changed, a new set of wires would be a good idea as well. The heater control valve diaphragm went bad so it whistles during operation (the valve itself is approximately $18 from the parts store). Feel free to ask questions, I’ll respond in a timely manner.
