Vehicle Detail

No reserve auction. This is a one-owner Jeep. I bought it new in 1998 and have added lots of modifications over the years. Here's a list of all the extras: Modifications & Extras -4" short-arm suspension lift. Superlift coil springs w/ Curry arms (all 8 control arms are adjustable & greasable)(5) Goodyear Wrangler Mud Terrain Tires (w/ Kevlar): 33" x 12.5" x 15" **Tires are excellent. Only 1,250 miles on (4) of the tires. The spare tire has 0 miles.4-wheel disk brakes (stock Jeeps had drum brakes in the rear)4.56 gears (these match up perfectly with the 33-inch tires so you have plenty of power and good crawling offroad)OX Lockers front and rear: makes this Jeep SUPER-capable offroad. It's amazing what you can crawl through. Lockers are operated by the aluminum shifters you see in the pictures. Custom high-pinion Dana 44 rear axle w/ disk brakes, 4.56 gears, & OX lockerDana 30 front axle w/ 4.56 gears & OX lockerSlip Yoke EliminatorTom Woods driveshaftBestop Sailcloth (heavy duty) Soft Top w/ Tinted Windows (excellent condition...never seen snow or rain). You can see this cover in the pictures.Optima Red Top BatteryNew ball joints at 112,500 milesNew steering stabilizer at 112,500 milesNew tires & alignment at 112,500 milesNew water pump at 108,400 miles Engine Startup Video This Jeep is a beast offroad with the suspension lift, 33" tires, 4.56 gears, lockers, and all of the skid plates. You can get through pretty much anything. On the road it still behaves quite well and is smooth and straight up to 75mph highway. It has the legendary Jeep inline 6-cylinder engine which still starts instantly and runs very strong. There is a small exhaust leak somewhere which you can hear upon startup and it typically goes away once everything gets hot. The check engine light will come on occasionally and it's triggered by two error codes: P0463 (Fuel level sensor A circuit high input)...this causes the gas gauge to malfunction periodically (it usually works about 80% of the time). The second code is: P0442 (EVAP emission control system leak - small)...I believe that's likely the exhaust leak you hear at startup (as mentioned above). Neither of these codes stopped the Jeep from passing Massachusetts inspection. I just had it inspected last week and it passed fine. The inspector checked everything (including the ball joints). Paint and body are in good shape. Paint is coming off the mirrors and the windshield hinges are bubbling and rusting a bit (which is very common with Jeeps). The driver's side left corner has a small bubble in the paint (right behind the rear fender flare) which you should be able to see in the pics. There are some light scratches in a few spots from brush and branches on the trail, but these should be able to be buffed out. Overall, the paint still shines up well and looks nice as you can see from the pics. Undercarriage could use some undercoating to stop the rust which is common in New England vehicles. The front two seats have covers on them. The driver's side seat has cracked vinyl (underneath the cover), but the original vinyl on the passenger seat is in good shape. The backseat is mint (only been sat in about 5 times). I've owned this Jeep for 18 years and it has been tons of fun over the years (both onroad and off). Unfortunately, I (reluctantly) need to sell it now as I'm moving and I can't keep 4 cars (plus lots of other toys) anymore. There is still plenty of life left in this Jeep, so I hope it goes to a good home.
