Vehicle Detail
A Doctor and His Beloved Town Car My name is Tom, and I have been hired to sell this 1995 Lincoln Town Car Cartier. All the pictures were taken with my digital camera. The pictures have not been touched up, manipulated or photo shopped, The owner has been very meticulous about this car. A friend of his offered to sell him another Lincoln, Town Car and so he bought it. The seller is a retired dentist and 80 years old and he is moving on. This car has been the Doctor's daily driver. He approached me and said it was time to put his car on ebay. Not an easy decision, He has been so fond of this car, he has just about replaced everything on it. This car has a clean title. Clear Car-fax. It starts up every time. All services have been completed and up to date. It has been cleaned and polished ready to go. This car is ready to drive another twenty years, at least I suspect it would. He has had a lot of fun fixing it up and replacing parts, that to him were getting old. The Pearl-Beige is a stunning Lincoln color with matching interior and Vogue tires, with just a touch of chrome, make this a very handsome car. It turns heads every time it drives by. With the 4.6 V-8 engine, it can glide and tackle any road or freeway with the greatest of ease. The Doctor went ahead and had the driver seat re dyed, since it was showing some wear. There are a few cosmetic issues, such as, some scratches on the bumpers, and had to re glue a chrome piece on the side, other than that, it is a complete strong and dependable car. The car was first delivered in Canada, then the first owner moved to Southern California where it was sold to the Doctor, he was so thrilled to get it! There is a sticker on the right front passenger door jam from the State of California stating that it was inspected by the state of California. I have to say, though, having been in Canada in their winters, the Cartier does have some rust in the undercarriage, but nothing major, the Doctor has done his best to have it repaired. Over the years the Doctor has replaced just about everything, even if he didn't have to, he believed in preventative measures. He has a complete file of the history of the car from the beginning up to now. Just to name of few things he has done to the car, are brakes, spark plugs, ignition wires, coils, throttle body chamber, Alternator, starter, Battery, Fuel Injectors, Water pump, radiator and hoses, tie rods, front shocks and installed the rear kit shock and spring set and removed the old rear blown air shocks, and rides perfectly. The oxygen sensors and catalytic converters have been replaced, this engine has passed smog and have certificate in hand with title. Heater and air conditioning work as designed. Factory stereo with Cassette and a 10 disc CD player placed in the trunk for easy access, and works and sounds wonderful. Digital dash keeps you posted of all workings of the car and is in good working order. All suspension is all in good working order. Like I said you don't have to do anything but drive it. If you are looking for the last great american cars that you don't have to spend money on repairs for awhile, and want to drive in comfort and drive in a car that is very safe in traffic and on the open road, then this just might be the car to get. Take a second look, you may not want this car to slip through your fingers. The Lincoln Town Car of 1995-1997 The last years of the last large Town car were 1995, 1996 and 1997. Features were similar, but the 1997 Town Car, was a little different. The Cartier for those years came with custom paint and interior, along with heated seats, and the Cartier emblem embossed in the seats and front floor mats, and rear trunk key hole cover, and both side opera windows. The 1997 came with real wood trim and a fascinating feature of sun visors for the rear seat passengers, so the women in the back seat could adjust their make up before stepping out of the soft leather seats. These luxury cars were built with comfort to the driver and passengers, with plenty of room for everyone. It's handsome looks can be seen every time one passes you by. The JBL sound system was standard on all models, speakers carried separate amplifiers to make the sound consistent to all passengers of the car. These cars took a lot of engineering that is still used today. The engine and transmission combination are able to tow a maximum of 6,000 pounds, how great is that! The key less entry is a great feature on these cars. You can lock your keys inside and punch in the code and get inside your car. One very big plus for these cars is that your key will cost about $3.00 to make a duplicate. If you have to make a key now, for a new car, it costs about $500.00. These days, it just might make sense to own, an older Town Car, you just might find the right one for you.
