HAVING TO RELIST DUE TO FRAUDULENT OVERSEES HIGH BIDDER THAT WON ORIGINAL AUCTION. PLEASE DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU INTEND TO FOLLOW THROUGH. IT COSTS FEES AND TIME AND IS VERY FRUSTRATING. THIS RANGE ROVER IS TASTEFULLY UPGRADED AND IS IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZABLE OVER OTHER ROVERS ON THE ROAD. THANK YOU FOR VIEWING AND HOPEFULLY BIDDING! It was pointed out today that the "Auto Check" feature in this listing is showing the vehicle has about 145K miles. I have a clean title that shows the stated mileage, and no odometer discrepancies. Not sure where the problem is. I would expect to see seat side bolster "rub" wear if that were the case, but regardless please bid as though the higher mileage shown on the Auto Check is correct because I have no idea where the discrepancy could have come from. Thank you and I apologize for any confusion. This 2003 Land Rover Range Rover HSE 4.4L 4WD is in better than normal condition, given it's age, primarily due to low mileage and extensive storage time. It has been touched up on the driver side quarter panel, according to the Dr. it was from scuffing something. It has MANY upgrades, but first a little background. The air suspension is in great shape but the guy I bought it from had the dealership reprogram it to where it stays at normal ride height. He said it was to save "wear and tear" on the system from constantly adjusting up and down as you drive, based on your speed. He thought it would make it last longer. He said it can be "flashed" back to normal by the dealership easily. I originally purchased this Range Rover from a Dr. that was moving to New York and only wanted to take one vehicle, due to high costs, etc. He said he pulled it into the garage one day and the next day it would turn over but wouldn't crank. He thought it was the fuel pump. He had just returned from putting very high end factory Range Rover upgraded wheels ($6500) and tires (less than 100mi). He said it ran perfectly when he pulled it into the garage. He thought the fuel pump had went out, as he didn't hear the pump turn on like normal, and after it sitting in the Garage for about 2 years he decided to sell it since he was moving. I had the pump checked and it was in fact bad. I had the fuel pump replaced, the fuel filter / fuel pressure regulator replaced, installed New spark plugs, and bought a brand new dry cell battery for it. It would turn over but wouldn't crank. I had it taken to the dealer and they said it had low compression (Equally low across all cylinders. If memory serves, all cylinders were around mid 90's PSI) and thought the timing might be off but didn't have anyone familiar with the BMW engine (from the 7-series) and recommended a BMW shop. I took it there and had them completely redo the timing system, still low compression. It only has 76,000mi so that didn't make sense. They used a Boroscope and the valve train was fine, as were the cylinders and pistons. Piston and valves never hit (which they didn't suspect anyway since the timing wasn't off but just wanted to check). It appears that the low compression is due to a dry oil pump from sitting so long and it needs to be primed, because if not primed it can't suck up the oil, and the oil is what makes the tight seal between the rings and cylinders. Of course oil provides lubrication too, but it's been turned over very little and only by professional mechanics. There may be another way to do it but this is what I was told by the mechanic. To do that, the front cover has to be removed, and they may have to remove the chain and then put it back on (I can't remember exactly). It's going to be a little over a thousand dollars, possibly as much as $1500 at the dealer. YOU MUST USE EITHER A RANGE ROVER MECHANIC WITH SOMEONE THAT KNOWS THIS BMW ENGINE, OR A CERTIFIED BMW MECHANIC THAT KNOWS THIS ENGINE AS THERE ARE SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED TO SET THE TIMING PROPERLY. This Range Rover only has about 76000 miles and appears to be a much newer model as the grille and side vents have been updated to the newer stainless mesh style. The seat bolsters aren't even "rubbed" like most vehicles with much age on them from where you get in and out and your pants wear into the leather. The Navigation system has the 2014 (I think it's still the latest version) Maps DVD. The wheels are brand new, factory Range Rover wheels that are normally an upgrade and he paid $6500 just for the wheels. The tires are brand new as well, installed the same day as the wheels, with only about 100 miles on them. It has all of the options you would expect from Range Rover's highest end SUV. It really is beautiful, and the upgrades are very tasteful yet make it really stand out from other Range Rovers. If you have any questions please contact me and I will be happy to answer them. I just have to sell because, while I bought this originally for my son, we bought him a different car he wanted and I just don't have any more money to put into it. I hate being so close and having to throw in the towel, but sometimes you have little choice. Given the nature, I cannot and will not guarantee that this is the only thing left to be fixed, although we can't think of anything else, especially given the consistency of the compression readings and BASICALLY replacing and/or ruling everything else out. This vehicle is sold AS-IS. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO BUY. Deposit of $500 due within 3 days of auction end, balance due within a week from that (so total due within 10 days). Any assistance I can provide to help with shipping, I will. To be safe, just verify before bidding. I should be able to add a "Submit Best Offer" on the next page. Thank you for viewing my auction and bid with confidence, I have an outstanding rating and feedback!
