Vehicle Detail
PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING! It is time to give up on one of my dreams. You are looking at a very rare 1973 Buick Riviera with the sought after 455ci V8 and posi rear end. This is essentially a one owner car as I have the original title from the original owner from 1973. The car has just 66K original miles and the entire drive train reflects that. The car starts right up, idles down beautifully and has plenty of power. The transmission shifts well and the car drives nicely down the road. This however is a project car before it can be a daily driver and the price reflects that. I got this car about two years ago with the intent to completely restore it. It had not run in ten years and the right rear window has been broken causing interior damage. Please note that the rear right window is STILL MISSING! I brought the car home, removed and cleaned the fuel tank, changed the fuel lines, put some fresh gas in, changed the points rotor and condenser, added a new battery and the car started right up! I then changed the oil, coolant and the engine has run great ever since. I also did a drain and fill on the transmission even though the fluid looked good. Next the brakes got a new master cylinder and fresh brake fluid. The car stops straight and hard. So mechanically the car needs nothing. The work will be in the body and interior. The electrical components and switched will also need to be rebuilt or replaced. I have all the interior pieces and a bunch of extras I sourced from another car. The front seats are good and the carpet is new. The floor pans are also new. The dash is in god shape with no cracks or tears which is rare in these vehicles. The rest of the interior is going to need to be redone. Headliner, switches etc will need to be redone. There is surface rust and some through rust in the rare fenders. This car is definitely worth restoring and can be driven while restored. The motor, trans and rear end themselves are worth a lot. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. I am also willing to help with shipping. You will still have to arrange and pay but I can do what needs to be done on my side. Thank you for looking and happy bidding!
