Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVESUp for sale is my 1998 Jeep Wrangler with 4" Rough Country lift sitting on 35" Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar tires. 4.0 L engine with 118,809 original miles - hardtop and fully metal doors. Lets get the rebuilt title out of the way first. This vehicle was involved in a light vehicle accident to the rear left quarter and was professionally repaired - damage was not extensive and it looks like any other Wrangler driving down the road. I have the Tennessee title in hand which can be transferred to the new owner just like a clean title vehicle. EXTERIOR: The paint shines and looks great. The exterior is clean and shows well - very sharp looking Jeep. There are some scratches in the paint, but in no way do the imperfection take away from the great exterior condition of this Jeep. Well above average 1998 Wrangler. INTERIOR: Carpet was removed and interior was "rhino" lined in black. Looks rugged and is ready for any off road adventure. Seat covers were removed and the original seats are decent - some stains and tears typical in a Wrangler of this year and miles. If the lined floors aren't your style, you can buy a carpet kit on EBay and a pair of seat covers - both of which are inexpensive and easy to install. The interior was painted black by the prior owner - it was originally tan, but looks nice in black. It has an awesome sounding sound bar. FRAME: Super, Super, Super solid. No rust issues that are so common in these older Jeeps. Very solid frame and undercarriage. ENGINE/MECHANICS: The engine runs great with no issues to report whatsoever. Ice cold air with all lights, gauges and signals working properly. Starts, idles and runs great - no check engine light or issues to report. With 118,809 miles, this bullet proof 4.0L has tons of life left. The automatic transmission was just rebuilt by a local transmission shop and is warrantied until June of 2017 or 11,500 more miles, whichever comes first. This was a complete rebuild with new parts and converter (see if the other Wranglers in this price range have this to offer). Also, major parts for the AC have been replaced and a new exhaust manifold installed. In addition, the stock shift linkage was changed to a more usable cable linkage ridding this Wrangler of the problematic stock linkage - I have spent thousands in maintenance for this Wrangler. 4x4 works great and with 35" tires, this Wrangler will get you off road where you want to go. The prior owner installed rear wheel lockers for some serious off road travels - the 4" Rough Country lift give the clearance to get you off the beaten path and give this Jeep and awesome stance. The prior owner stated the Dana rear end was upgraded, but I'm not really a Jeep guy and don't know specifics. RIDE: The jeeps runs and drives well - especially for a lifted Jeep. The rear wheel lockers do click when turning at low speed which is common for aftermarket lifters. I hope you have an idea of the condition of this Wrangler - it is a nice Jeep with a ton of money spent. For the money the winning bidder will pay, you will be getting a nice modified 1998 Jeep that is ready to be enjoyed immediately. The only reason I'm selling is I just purchased a 1968 Camaro that I'm modifying and my wife wont sell her 1966 Mustang Convertible to make room. I did not intend to sell this Jeep, but found the Camaro that I couldn't live without. Picture were taken yesterday (7/17/16) and I lightly detailed the Jeep and cleaned the underside. Title is in hand.
