Vehicle Detail
Selling a 1964 Chrysler 300 vehicle that sat in a dry garage for many years. It has an original 383 cu in 2 BL motor dated 11/27/63. Engine ID photo included. Transmission appears to be original as well. Photo of date on the block and casting # included. This 300 has a push Button Torque Flite transmission. It has manual windows and seat. The prior owner before me had the engine rebuilt. After sitting for years, several vales stuck. So I pulled the motor out to do a Valve Job and a complete engine reseal. A new Melling oil pump was installed as well. Oil pressure over 60 lbs cold. The pistons and cylinders look excellent and tight in the cylinders. Rings were cleaned and lubricated while engine apart to insure they were not sticking. Installed New upper and lower radiator hoses. I took the Carb apart and cleaned it thoroughly. Gas tank has been drained and new 93 octane fuel put in. Runs real well and shifts great. Has a no skip idle. Drove it 300 miles. The engine has No leaks, very peppy and runs Cool, even in the 80 degree heat. This 300 has a quiet dual exhaust. The Exhaust has a great mellow sound, not loud. Starter was replaced and works great. This car was garage kept dry for the most part. The floors are very good as well as the trunk floor. Rockers are rusty and the quarters have some wheel house rust. Some lower quarter rust too. Does drive and stop! It will need 4 wheel cylinders to have very good braking. Two new front wheel cylinders included. Does start easy and run well. Drives pretty good. The power steering is quiet and transmission shifts solid. Water pump and belts are good. The older guy that owned it before me installed a dual master cylinder and new brake lines. Brake shoes were also replaced. Heater works. The hood at the hinge mounting area was repaired. Hood opens and closes fine. The front of the hood is fine. The battery is strong. Convertible top is power and works fine. The convertible top fabric is brittle and needs to be replaced. I have a guy that will install a correct Convertible Top for a very reasonable price if you want. There is a photo of some extra items that go with the vehicle including a reprint of a 1964 Chrysler manual and extra gauge cluster. I do have more photos. Also I have a 1973 440 cu in motor mostly complete with carb and transmision for an extra $800.00. Check the vehicle out good and ask questions before you bid......... FLOOR Photos ADDED......Any questions, please call Steve. 585-415-5141.... Thanks
