Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1967, Chevy Camaro RS/SS tribute. All panels are rust free, originally a California car 6 cylinder before she became the RS/SS tribute she is today. It has a 350, professionally built and serialized and has about 3k miles since the rebuild. It starts, runs and sounds great. Headers and true 3 inch dual exhaust with crossover makes this car sound great and only gets better as a result of the semi aggressive cam adding to the growl. The Muncie 4spd was rebuilt from the ground up last fall and it up and downshifts very smooth. The Car has a 2" drop, Willwood manual discs in front, drum rears. The center console and dash have been tastefully custom wrapped in vinyl and stitched with the Camaro logo on the arm rest. Temp, voltage and oil pressure gauges are set in custom housing canted towards driver. A list of some highlights are: Retrosound radio, Allstar Ready to Run electronic ignition and distro, Jegs CID coil, Jegs billet fuel filter and stainless steel fuel lines, Edelbrock performer intake (#2116), Vortech heads, 350 V8 2 (14010287, 1980-82 2 bolt), Holley 600 CFM carb w/electric choke, hooker long headers, flowmaster exhaust, American racing wheels, new manual brake master cylinder and valve. Clutch is strong and has lots of life left (checked when the tranny was reinstalled 100 miles ago). 12 bolt rear diff (unsure of the ratio but it's on the high low side as it ticks over at about 2750 at 65-75 mph). Traditional mechanical fuel pump (I tried an electric pump but hated the whine). Manual brakes and steering. The tuxedo black paint and silver bumblebee stripe are in good condition, some swirling, several small spots of separation and chips. For a black car it looks great and from the proverbial 5 ft is flawless. The hideaway headlight doors open and close fine (electric motors, not vacuum). Tail lamps, reverse lights and front runners are all converted to LEDs. The rear backup lamp sockets are old and lose so the backup lights can be finicky. new sockets will solve this as the switch and wiring are fine. With most any muscle car of her age that's a driver, there are disclosures to be made. Dome light doesn't work, speedo works but the gear will need replacing at some point, front coils are tired, depending on your altitude it'll need to be re-jetted (I live at 7000ft). Blower works but the compressor is removed and heat exchanger is not hooked up. Last and most significant problem, when I put the front willwood disc brakes on, the new hubs pushed the front wheels out 1/4 inch and the driver side wheel rubs bit on bumps. Narrower tires would solve this in a jiffy. It's nothing that will damage the car but in my opinion it's the top and only pressing issue. With that, the bottom line is this is a great driver for someone who appreciates the look, feel, smell and sound of a classic muscle car. 1967 was the first year for the Camaro and I've always loved the token coke bottle shape and hidden headlights of the '67 RS. You truly need to hear her to appreciate the adrenaline inducing roar let out at any RPM. This is the car I always wanted and it has been a joy owning and driving her, but family and a pending move means it's time for someone else to enjoy the thrill. If you have specific questions or request for pictures/ video I'm happy to provide. I am also listing for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if sold. Thanks for looking!
