Vehicle Detail

99 Suburban 4x4 with Cummins 6bt Up for auction my beloved Cummins powered 4x4 Suburban will be yours if you win the NO reserve auction. This vehicle has no mechanical issues and was my Wife's daily driver for 2 years. She literally took the kids to school and we used it for all of our road trips. I am only selling because we purchased her a new one needing a business tax write off and now this one does not get used enough to justify keeping the tags/insurance renewed. My loss is your gain. The vehicle is extremely reliable and averages between 22-27mpg a true blessing for a Suburban. This is a 99 Chevy Suburban LT 4x4 with 95 12 valve Cummins which was professionally installed. The vehicle was built by a shop in Texas I do not know the name of it but I was told they have did well over 20 swaps and were doing another when I purchased this one from an auto broker who had 2 of theirs for sale. Engine has the p7100 injection pump and has never been turned up or tweaked. It has 253,000 on the chassis and engine around 35k since installed with transmission being rebuilt less than 10k miles ago. Rings were replaced in the engine when installed. This vehicle does not smoke at all not even when cold. Does have a block heater however I haver not needed even in 10deg weather. Transmission is a 47RE with billet valve body and torque convertor with oversized transmission cooler. The intercooler is an oversized front mount model see pics. The AC system is all new and works well however in 95+ deg temps it is hard to keep cool inside. The AC compressor is on a toggle switch which you can see in interior pics. This was because factory relay would not trigger on its own. The batteries were just replaced with duralast platinum AGM batteries. Factory Chevy wheels with decent tires will come with it. The Ballistic off road wheels and like new Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires 285/60/r18 will be included on the vehicle. Reese hitch rated @ 10,000lbs however has not been used for towing. I just returned from a beach trip over 500 miles and she averaged 25mpg. All maintenance is done meticulously with oil changes every 4,000 miles. Gears are 3.42:1 and make for a nice cruising speed and great mpg. There are a few dings and scratches but the paint is still in great condition and as you can see behind the washer fluid tank was re painted when the engine was out of the chassis. Check out the detail on the trim no overspray here. The hood has a dent to keep the AC compressor from hitting when closed and unfotunately it also has dents where the hood came open when my wife took off in it while I was charging the batteries with it not hinged. The hood does close solid nothing to worry about it just has the dents but they are not very noticable. The undercarriage is in extremely good condition for the vehicles age a coat of paint under it and it would remain rust free for another 20 years. Frame only has very minor surface rust which just showed up this year see pics extremely light. Zero rust on the body, fenders , etc. Upper ball joints and alignment were done last year. This Suburban drives great and I welcome you to come test drive it before you buy. It has not seen salt, mud or the offroad. 4x4 high works flawless not low as it was not hooked up when conversion was done. The transfer case is the original chevrolet. Fuel pickup is a fox pro which could have coolant lines installed if buyer desires. Exhaust is 5" downpipe and 4" exhaust with dynomax muffler only. This baby is ready for a road trip nothing at all needed but a driver. I reserve the right to close auction early due to listed for sale locally and buyer must arrange for shipment and I will deliver within 200 miles of zip 27217. The conversion alone cost $14,000 and you will not find a 99 Suburban in this conidition with a blown engine for less than $6,000 so buy this one and make it your dream machine. Everything on the vehicle works except power door locks which I will troubleshoot this week, maybe just a fuse since I have not looked into. This would literally make the perfect off roaders dream machine, family road tripper, shore fishermans baby or drag car's nightmare. Crazy what a Suburban like this could offer. ALL body panels/fender/hood/oem wheels/etc are OEM original matching serial numbers. When looking for a body for this build this suburban was specifically selected for being a 1 owner from a dry climate area of Georgia flat land and never having been in any accident. This one will be a classic in a few more years if cared for properly. NC titles do not specify any fuel type so when you transfer the title to your state you will want to be sure to tell them its a Diesel so you like me will have no emissions test required. We have no issues with our state inspection what so ever.
