So with that said let's have an auction. https://youtu.be/V1lC8A_gMyk https://youtu.be/KT0-QUSgj1A Up for auction is a very clean, very original 1979 Pontiac Trans Am with a numbers matching 403 and an automatic trans. This car has the original floors and sheet metal. Floors have no patches and no rot. The bottoms of the doors are not swollen, quarters are near perfect around wheel openings. We found no body filler. Door gaps, trunk, hood, and body lines line up great. The car has been painted on during its lifetime. The paint looks great from 10 feet. It does shine nice in the sun. There are some baked and bleached panels, as well as checking on the hood and roof. The paint also has chips and scratches and some are touched up and some are not. This is the perfect car to paint and have exceptional straight classic Trans Am when you are through. The underside of the car is impressive as well. The floors, frame, rockers are solid. There is a light scaling in some spots on the frame and floors. The car was not fully detailed. We vacuumed, wiped the inside and hand glazed it. The engine and underside was untouched to show what the car is really like and about. Inside the car looks great. The carpet, seats, dash and headliner look great. The trim is great condition. All the screws are uniform. All the gauges work and the dash is not cut up. The rear package tray is sun faded. The power windows operate correctly but are slow, the tint is acceptable but shows wear. Under the hood is also very presentable. The wires and looms are not all cut up and butt connected. There are no signs of cobbling under the hood. Everything is complete however the A/C is inoperable. The 403ci engine starts right up, idles smooth with a little rumble. The car is plenty powerful and transmission shifts with ease. We are selling the car miles exempt. We can make no guarantee on the mileage Currently this unit is not for sale locally.
