For sale is a 1988 K100LT. I purchased this bike because I was looking for something smaller yet capable to the Goldwing GL1200 for long distance touring. It has been a good bike but I'm downsizing my fleet. It has had regular oil and filter changes as well as coolant flush each season. All fuel lines and the fuel filter have been replaced in June, 2015. Last 2 seasons, I lubricated the drive shaft splines with a 50/50 mix of Honda Moly60 and Wurth Sig 3000. The drive shaft splines showed wear but are in good shape for the mileage. The final drive and transmission oil were changed last year as well. I fabricated custom pannier mounts to mount Happy Trails top loading aluminum panniers which are quite more durable than the side loading stock panniers. The stock Z bars and panniers are included in the sale. The bike is really a special tourer because it has the ground clearance and gearing to handle double tracks but then jump on the interstate to comfortably head home. Keep in mind it is an older bike with higher miles so repairs will be required down the road. For instance, I was planning on rebuilding the forks sometime this year because, well they’ll need it sooner or later at 67,000 miles. The steering head bearing could probably use an adjustment also. Comes with a new set of rear brake pads as well. Feel free to ask any questions.
