i bought this Subaru forester new for my wife in 2002, She used it until 2010 as a sales rep, driving mostly on highways to her stores. Since then I have used it to drive to work. It runs great, It is super reliable, as good as a Toyota in my opinion....and I own a Toyota too so I should know :-)It has 218,000 miles, never been in an accident, flood, nor have the airbags been deployed. It has almost every option for that year, heated seats, power everything, side airbags, HUGE sun roof etc. I installed a new battery in Sep 2015, new bluetooth stereo this winter and the tires are only 2 years old. known issues: clock doesn't work and the cup holder is broken. It has the usual scratches and small dings and a tiny bit of rust at the bottom of one of the rear windows This would be a great first car for anyone, as it is very safe and reliable.
